Leaving behind the truck and Pressley&#8217;s lifeless body, he made his escape.<\/p>\n<p>The package of marijuana was later discovered on the street where Seward had mercilessly attacked Pressley.<\/p>\n<h3>Heartbreaking Impact on the Victim&#8217;s Family<\/h3>\n<blockquote>\n<p>The devastating consequences of Seward&#8217;s actions were felt deeply by Irene Pressley&#8217;s family. Vernelle Gibson Oates, another sister of Pressley, tearfully questioned Seward&#8217;s motives, asking why he took the life of an innocent woman.<\/p>\n<p>As the family poured out their pain, Seward sat silently, declining the opportunity to speak. Judge Donald C. Coggins, Jr. addressed him directly, acknowledging the gravity of his actions and the consequences he would face.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Although you are likely to spend your life in federal prison, how you choose to spend it is entirely up to you,&#8221; Judge Coggins stated firmly.<\/p>\n<p>Seward&#8217;s accomplice, Jerome Terrell Davis, also faced justice for his role in Pressley&#8217;s death.
