He told The Daily Wire that he believes the mailing was related to his advocacy, telling law enforcement he has \u201cthousands\u201d of enemies for his efforts to \u201csave the lives of these kids\u201d pursuing so<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/doctor-opposed-to-child-transgenderism-says-he-received-eerie-package-with-white-powder\/\" title=\"Doctor Against Child Transgenderism Receives Suspicious Package with White Powder\">-called \u2018gender-affirming\u2019 surgeries<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b data-stringify-type=\"bold\"><\/b><\/p>\n<p>Van Meter said the package he received appeared to be similar to those sent to<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2023\/06\/19\/us\/kansas-white-powder-letters\/index.html\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">lawmakers<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> in Kansas that were signed by \u201cyour secret despiser.\u201d <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Republican officials and legislators in <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/multiple-republican-officials-in-kansas-receive-cryptic-letters-containing-white-powder\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Kansas<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> received more than 100 letters between June 16 and June 19. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The cryptic letters read, \u201cIt is important not to choke on your ambition,\u201d and included what appear to be incoherent phrases in foreign languages. Those mailings, along with similar letters sent to Tennessee politicians, reportedly had a<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> return address of a deceased transgender activist. One source <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/top-tennessee-republicans-receive-suspicious-packages-radical-trans-activism-suspected\">told<\/a> The Daily Wire that letters received in Tennessee were also signed \u201cyour secret despiser.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Offices in the Cordell Hull Building, which connects to the Tennessee State Capitol, were forced to close after mysterious packages and letters containing white powder were discovered on June 22.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>In <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/montana-becomes-third-state-reporting-suspicious-letters-received-by-gop-officials\">Montana<\/a>, two GOP legislators reported receiving suspicious letters at their homes containing white powder.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A vocal critic of medical transition for minors, Dr. Quentin Van Meter, received a package resembling those sent to lawmakers in Kansas, Tennessee, and Montana.
