U.S. Attorney David Weiss must provide answers to the House Judiciary Committee. <\/p>\n<p>If the whistleblowers&#8217; allegations are true, this will be a significant part of a larger impeachment inquiry into\u2026 <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/Q3LLeJhW85\">https:\/\/t.co\/Q3LLeJhW85<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Kevin McCarthy (@SpeakerMcCarthy) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/SpeakerMcCarthy\/status\/1672994001459490817?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">June 25, 2023<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script type=\"text\/plain\" data-service=\"twitter\" data-category=\"marketing\" async data-cmplz-src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script> <\/div>\n<\/figure>\n<p>His retweet contained a story from Washington Examiner Chief Correspondent Byron York, who stated that Shapley claimed Weiss wanted charges launched against Biden in Washington, DC.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, York cited Shapley\u2019s defense team\u2019s argument that during a meeting in Weiss\u2019s office on October 7<sup>th<\/sup>, 2022, six witnesses heard him say that he \u201cdid not have authority to charge in other districts and had thus <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/biden-bombshell-whistleblowers-say-irs-recommended-felony-tax-charges-against-hunter-biden-the-doj-balked\/\" title=\"Whistleblowers claim IRS suggested felony tax charges for Hunter Biden, but DOJ hesitated.\">requested special counsel status<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\">\n<p>Friday\u2019s claim added, \u201cThose six witnesses include Baltimore FBI Special Agent in Charge Tom Sobocinski and Assistant Special Agent in Charge Ryeshia Holley, IRS Assistant Special Agent in Charge Gary Shapley and Special Agent in Charge Darrell Waldon, who also independently and contemporaneously corroborated Mr. Shapley\u2019s account in an email, now public as Exhibit 10, following p. 148 of his testimony transcript. Mr. Shapley would have no insight into why Mr. Weiss would make these statements at the October 7, 2022 meeting if they were false. That Mr. Weiss made these statements is easily corroborated, and it is up to him and the Justice Department to reconcile the evidence of his October 7, 2022 statements with contrary statements by Mr. Weiss and the Attorney General to Congress.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>However, Garland denied on the same day that Weiss ever urged him to appoint a special counsel on the issue.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\">\n<p>\u201cI don\u2019t know how it would be possible for anybody to block him from bringing a prosecution given that he has this authority. He was never told no. I\u2019m saying he was given complete authority to make all decisions on his own,\u201d he continued. \u201cThe only person with authority to make somebody a special counsel or refuse to make somebody a special counsel is the Attorney General. Mr. Weiss never made that request to me.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Lastly, Garland added that he \u201cwould support Mr. Weiss explaining or testifying on these matters when he deems appropriate.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The claims come after the Justice Department recently reached a plea agreement with Hunter Biden, who would plead guilty to two counts of \u201cwillful failure to pay federal income tax\u201d and join a \u201cpretrial diversion program\u201d for a handgun crime. <\/p>\n<p>Hunter Biden will not face any prison time as a result of the agreement.<\/p>\n<p>Many Republicans who have waited to see proper justice served in court regarding Hunter Biden and his family\u2019s alleged crimes and cover-ups have expressed grievances online and how they feel let down.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\">\n<p>\u201cThe GOP needs to stop talking and start doing\u2026 The entire BiDumb Administration should be IMPEACHED,\u201d one user commented.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Stay informed!
