(Photo by Justin Sullivan\/Getty Images)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>OAN\u2019s\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.oann.com\/tag\/brooke-mallory\">Brooke Mallory<\/a><br \/>1:52 PM \u2013 Sunday, June 25, 2023<\/p>\n<p>Republican politicians in Montana claim that they have received envelopes containing white powder in the mail, as federal authorities examine the suspicious chemicals delivered to GOP politicians in two other states as well.<\/p>\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-1663871513696-art-1\" style=\"min-width: 320px; min-height: 50px;  text-align: center;\">  \t<script>  \t\tgoogletag.cmd.push(function() { googletag.display('div-gpt-ad-1663871513696-art-1'); });  \t<\/script>  <\/div>\n<div class=\"ad-slot__ad-label\">Advertisement<\/div>\n<\/p>\n<p>Montana\u2019s Republican Governor Greg Gianforte said in a Friday night tweet that he has received \u201cdisturbing\u201d allegations of anonymous threats directed towards legislators. <\/p>\n<p>The Montana attorney general stated on Facebook that the local sheriff\u2019s office had gathered evidence when his mother, a state legislator, had opened one of the letters containing the \u201cwhite powder substance\u201d sent to her home address.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Photo via Twitter <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/GovGianforte\">@GovGianforte<\/a><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\">\n<p>\u201cPLEASE BE CAUTIOUS about opening your mail,\u201d Montana Attorney General Austin Knudsen said in a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/online-threat-closes-michigan-school-district-where-oxford-shooting-occurred\/\" title=\"Online Threat Closes Michigan School District Where Oxford Shooting Occurred\">social media post directed<\/a> at legislators. \u201cIf you receive a suspicious package, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/man-who-shot-lady-gagas-dog-walker-erroneously-released-from-jail-authorities-offer-5000-reward\/\" title=\"Man Who Shot Lady Gaga\u2019s Dog Walker \u2018Erroneously\u2019 Released From Jail, Authorities Offer 00 Reward\">contact law enforcement immediately<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Similar mysterious letters have been received recently by Republican officials in both Tennessee and Kansas.<\/p>\n<p>On Thursday, a congressional office building in Nashville was also temporarily closed down after the House Speaker said that various GOP leaders received mail containing the infamous \u201cwhite powder substance.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>The letters also <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/montana-gop-officials-are-third-state-lawmakers-to-receive-letters-with-mystery-white-powder\/\" title=\"Montana GOP officials join list of lawmakers receiving letters with unknown 'white powder'.\">purportedly contained \u201cobvious threats made<\/a> by a liberal activist specifically targeting Republicans,\u201d according to a representative for the House Republican Caucus, who did not disclose any other specifics.<\/p>\n<p>The FBI stated this week that ongoing lab testing showed no threat to public safety. However, it was also reported that the investigation would still continue.<\/p>\n<p>According to the Kansas Bureau of Investigation, around 100 similar letters have been mailed to politicians and other figures throughout the state of Kansas. <\/p>\n<p>No injuries regarding the letters have been reported.<\/p>\n<p>Stay informed!
