Speaking on MSNBC&#8217;s Inside with Jen Psaki, Pelosi also suggested that a discussion should be had about expanding the court.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>&#8220;It\u2019s been over 150 years since we\u2019ve had an expansion of the court. It was in the time of Lincoln that it went up to nine. So the subject of whether that should happen is a discussion. It\u2019s not a rallying cry. But it\u2019s a discussion. The president formed a commission, they did not recommend expansion of the court, that shouldn\u2019t be the end of it,&#8221; Pelosi said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Pelosi emphasized the need for term limits and ethical rules for the Supreme Court. She even shared an anecdote about a justice who she <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/nancy-pelosi-pushes-term-limits-for-supreme-court-justices-following-ethics-allegations\/\" title=\"Nancy Pelosi advocates term limits for Supreme Court justices amidst ethics allegations.\">believed lacked integrity<\/a>. Pelosi&#8217;s remarks come in the wake of a report from ProPublica, which accused Justice Samuel Alito of failing to disclose a fishing vacation from a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/meme-lords-just-figured-out-how-to-take-back-the-billions-wall-street-made-profiting-off-lockdowns-the-washington-standard\/\" title=\"Meme Lords Just Figured Out How To Take Back The Billions Wall Street Made Profiting Off Lockdowns\">hedge fund billionaire<\/a> who later appeared before the court in multiple cases.<\/p>\n<p>Justice Alito, however, defended himself in an op-ed for the Wall Street Journal, claiming that the accusations were exaggerated and that he followed proper reporting standards at the time.<\/p>\n<p>The Supreme Court&#8217;s ethics and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/alito-preemptively-rebuts-propublica-article-report-on-disclosures\/\" title=\"Alito counters ProPublica's disclosure report.\">disclosure standards<\/a> have <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/actblue-fined-for-facilitating-nearly-44000-in-illegal-contributions\/\" title=\"ActBlue Fined for Facilitating Nearly ,000 in Illegal Contributions\">faced increased scrutiny<\/a>, with reports surfacing about Justice Clarence Thomas receiving undisclosed gifts from wealthy GOP donor Harlan Crow.<\/p>\n<p>While changing the number of justices on the Supreme Court would require an act of Congress, implementing term limits would necessitate a constitutional amendment.
