I mean, that is just as wrong as it gets,\u201d Jordan passionately told anchor Maria Bartiromo.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe want to make sure we get a chance to talk to this Lesley Wolf, the assistant U.S. attorney who was handling this case in [U.S. Attorney David] Weiss\u2019 office there in Delaware,\u201d Jordan added. \u201cWe think that\u2019s important as we move forward with this investigation.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Rep. Georgia Judge Who Also Is Stacy Abrams\u2019 Sister BLOCKS Elections Officials from Challenging Voters Who Live Outside of Registered District!\">district court judge<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>However, as revealed in the documents <a href=\"https:\/\/waysandmeans.house.gov\/smith-testimony-of-irs-employees-reveals-biden-irs-doj-interfered-in-tax-investigation-of-hunter-biden-revealing-preferential-treatment-for-wealthy-and-politically-connected\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">released by the GOP-led House Ways and Means Committee<\/a> on Thursday, Shapley and another IRS whistleblower claimed that IRS investigators <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2023\/06\/22\/politics\/irs-whistleblower-hunter-biden\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">recommended additional charges<\/a> in other jurisdictions against Hunter Biden.<\/p>\n<p><b data-stringify-type=\"bold\"><\/b><\/p>\n<p>Despite the alleged actions of Wolf that hindered the investigation, Shapley asserted that she even <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2023\/06\/22\/irs-whistleblowers-say-doj-covered-up-hunter-biden-tax-fraud\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/jim-jordan-wants-to-speak-with-prosecutor-accused-of-limiting-hunter-biden-probe\/\" title=\"Jim Jordan seeks meeting with prosecutor accused of hindering Hunter Biden investigation.\">supported additional charges<\/a><\/a>, but they were rejected by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2023\/06\/22\/politics\/irs-whistleblower-hunter-biden\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">more senior attorneys<\/a>. Additionally, Shapley claimed that Weiss sought special counsel status, which would have granted him broader authority to bring charges, but his request was denied.<\/p>\n<p>Attorney General Merrick Garland responded to <a href=\"https:\/\/abcnews.go.com\/Politics\/garland-responds-irs-whistleblower-allegations-hunter-biden-case\/story?id=100339497\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">some of the whistleblower accusations<\/a> on Friday, including denying that Weiss ever <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/biden-bombshell-whistleblowers-say-irs-recommended-felony-tax-charges-against-hunter-biden-the-doj-balked\/\" title=\"Whistleblowers claim IRS suggested felony tax charges for Hunter Biden, but DOJ hesitated.\">requested special counsel status<\/a>. Garland stated, \u201cHe was given complete authority to make all decisions on his own,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbs.org\/newshour\/politics\/garland-denies-whistleblower-claims-of-doj-interference-in-hunter-biden-investigation\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Garland also said<\/a>. \u201cI don\u2019t know how it would be possible for anybody to block him from bringing a prosecution given that he has that authority.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>When Bartiromo asked Jordan if he would subpoena Wolf, he indicated that it was a possibility, emphasizing the importance of her testimony for the oversight work of his panel.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re going to explore all options available,\u201d Jordan stated. \u201cWe want to talk to her.
