According to an NBC News poll conducted from June 16-20, Trump is the first choice candidate for 51% of voters, significantly ahead of Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) at 22% and the other 2024 GOP candidates who are polling in the single digits.<\/p>\n<h3>Fourth of July Airfare Down by 27% from Last Year<\/h3>\n<p>Following DeSantis, former Vice President Mike Pence has 7% support, former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie has 5%, former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley has 4%, Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC) and entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy both have 3%, and former Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson has 2%.<\/p>\n<p>DeSantis leads as the second choice for voters if their first choice candidate is no longer an option, with 31% support.<\/p>\n<p>When combining the first and second choices of those surveyed, Trump maintains a strong lead with 63%, followed by DeSantis with 53%. Pence, Haley, and Scott all have 15% support.<\/p>\n<p>In a head-to-head matchup between Trump and DeSantis, the former president holds a significant advantage over the Florida governor, leading 60% to 36%.<\/p>\n<p>In a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/poll-kemp-perdue-locked-in-tight-georgia-gop-primary-both-tied-with-stacey-abrams\/\" title=\"Poll: Kemp, Perdue Locked in Tight Georgia GOP Primary; Both Tied with Stacey Abrams\">hypothetical general election matchup<\/a> between Trump and President Joe Biden, Biden leads with 49% compared to Trump&#8217;s 45%. Trump was indicted for a second time earlier this month on federal charges related to classified documents. He pleaded not guilty to the charges in a federal courthouse in Miami, Florida.<\/p>\n<p>In the overall polling average compiled by RealClearPolitics, Trump maintains his lead in the GOP presidential field, with DeSantis in second place. The rest of the candidates are far behind the two Florida men.
