He was demanding $10 million and threatening to abuse the power of his father, Joe Biden\u2019s position, should his demands not be met.<\/p>\n<p>Hunter Biden\u2019s lawyer, Chris Clark, released a statement on Friday in response to whistleblower testimony, stating in part, <\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;The DOJ investigation covered a period which was a time of turmoil and addiction for my client,&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p> and adding, <\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;Any verifiable words or actions of my client, in the midst of a horrible addiction, are solely his own and have no connection to anyone in his family.&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Clark\u2019s statement addressing Hunter Biden\u2019s\u00a0\u201chorrible addiction\u201d and clarifying that his client\u2019s actions during that period were \u201csolely his own\u201d and unrelated to anyone in his family sounds very much like an admission of guilt combined with an excuse and an attempt to shield Joe Biden from accusations of involvement.<\/p>\n<p>On Thursday, the House Ways and Means Committee released the testimony of two whistleblowers, identified as \u2018Whistleblower X\u2019 and Supervisory Special Agent Gary Shapley, along with the alleged WhatsApp messages, which total 411 pages.<\/p>\n<p>The U.K. Daily Mail reported that according to the leaked WhatsApp messages, on July 30, 2017, Hunter Biden sent a message to his partner at the Chinese oil company CEFC, which had a threatening tone and suggested Joe Biden\u2019s alleged involvement in their business dealings.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am sitting here with my father and we would like to understand why the commitment made has not been fulfilled,\u201d Hunter wrote to his partner,\u00a0Chinese Communist Party official Henry Zhao.<\/p>\n<p>Hunter allegedly told Zhao that if he didn\u2019t follow his orders he would \u201cmake certain that between the man sitting next to me and every person he knows and my ability to forever hold a grudge that you will regret not following my direction.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am sitting here waiting for the call with my father,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>Four days later, Hunter Biden purportedly sent a text message to another business partner at CEFC, Kevin Dong, requesting a budget of $10 million per year to advance the interests of their joint venture.<\/p>\n<p>A photo from Hunter Biden\u2019s abandoned laptop, obtained by The Daily Mail, shows him at Joe Biden\u2019s lakeside mansion in Delaware on July 30, 2017, the day the threatening Whatsapp message to CEFC was allegedly sent.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Photos from Hunter Biden\u2019s laptop place the President\u2019s son at the Biden family\u2019s Wilmington Delaware home on the same day the WhatsApp message was sent: July 30, 2017. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/Dh8D8ydg8e\">pic.twitter.com\/Dh8D8ydg8e<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Rep. Claudia Tenney (@RepTenney) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/RepTenney\/status\/1672271628158537728?\">June 23, 2023<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>\nAdditionally, bank records obtained by Sens.\u00a0Chuck Grassley\u00a0and Ron Johnson reportedly indicate that CEFC wired $5 million to a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/hunter-bidens-lawyer-releases-small-statement-with-a-big-clue-hidden-inside\/\" title=\"Hunter Biden's attorney drops concise statement, concealing significant hint.\">jointly owned company<\/a> with Hunter, Hudson West III, on August 8, 2017.<\/p>\n<p>Subsequently, $4.8 million of that amount was purportedly transferred to an account associated with Hunter\u2019s personal company, Owasco, over the following year.<\/p>\n<p>The whistleblowers claimed that if it weren\u2019t for the obstructed investigation, Hunter would have faced more serious charges, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/sen-graham-says-trump-arrest-would-blow-up-our-country\/\" title=\"Sen.
