Interestingly, it is being funded by the same <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/antifa-leftists-get-censored-by-social-media-platforms\/\" title=\"Antifa, leftists get censored by social media platforms\">left-wing organization<\/a> that actively campaigns for their removal.<\/p>\n<p>According to tax documents reviewed by the Daily Caller News Foundation<a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2023\/06\/20\/propublica-donors-clarence-thomas\/\"> on June 20,<\/a> ProPublica has written multiple stories about Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas&#8217; alleged ethics violations while receiving donations from the same groups that are actively campaigning for his resignation or removal from the Court.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/eyeing-supreme-court-vacancy-left-wing-dark-money-group-pushes-ketanji-brown-jackson-for-top-appeals-court\/\" title=\"Eyeing Supreme Court Vacancy, Left-Wing Dark Money Group Pushes Ketanji Brown Jackson for Top Appeals Court\">left-wing nonprofit<\/a>, the Sandler Foundation, has been accused of pouring millions into multiple groups attacking Thomas&#8217; character and supporting the attacks on his colleague, Justice Samuel Alito, as part of a wider effort to marginalize conservatives on the Supreme Court.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"entry-content\">\n<p class=\"a8d-pre\">The Sandler Foundation, which founded ProPublica in 2007, has given the outlet $40 million since 2010 to keep it afloat.<\/p>\n<p class=\"a8d-pre\">Interestingly, the same organization has been funding dark-money groups that have been seeking to oust Thomas from the Court for years in order to replace him with a leftist.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<h2>ProPublica Caught Participating in a Conspiracy to Remove Justice Thomas<\/h2>\n<div class=\"entry-content\">\n<p>ProPublica has published several investigations <a href=\"https:\/\/www.propublica.org\/article\/clarence-thomas-harlan-crow-real-estate-scotus\">over the past few months<\/a> into Thomas&#8217; relationship with conservative billionaire real estate developer Harlan Crow, which the publication called inappropriate.<\/p>\n<p>The stories have covered expensive trips Thomas took with Crow, the developer&#8217;s purchase of the home of the justice&#8217;s mother, and paying for the private school tuition of Thomas&#8217; grandnephew.<\/p>\n<p>The articles often include quotes from activists belonging to the various groups that received funding from The Sandler Foundation, which has been exposed as a major financial supporter of left-wing groups attacking Thomas.<\/p>\n<p>The Sandler Foundation has also funded other left-wing groups, such as The Center for American Progress, the ACLU, Human Rights Watch, and Sierra Club, according to its <a class=\"x5l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sandlerfoundation.org\/grants\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external\">website.<\/a><\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>&#8220;It is no coincidence that several organizations smearing Justice Thomas are funded generously by many of the same donors,&#8221; said Parker Thayer, an investigator at Capital Research Center, in an interview with the Daily Caller.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The &#8216;pop-up&#8217; public pressure campaign, where just a few donors pay dozens of &#8216;grassroots&#8217; activist groups to give the appearance of broad public support for a particular issue, has long been a favored tactic of the Left&#8217;s wealthy special interests,&#8221; Thayer added.<\/p>\n<p>The Sandler Foundation has also given significant amounts of money to the Campaign Legal Center (CLC) and the American Constitution Society (ACS), both of which have called on Biden&#8217;s Justice Department to investigate Thomas for alleged violations of judicial ethics rules.<\/p>\n<p class=\"a8d-pre\">Other tax forms show that the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/left-wing-donors-behind-propublica-funds-attacks-on-conservative-supreme-court-justices\/\" title=\"Left-wing donors fund attacks on conservative Supreme Court justices via ProPublica.\">left-wing nonprofit gave millions<\/a> of dollars to The New Venture Fund and is part of a network of left-wing nonprofits managed by Arabella Advisors, founded by Eric Kessler, a former member of the Clinton Global Initiative.<\/p>\n<p>The Sandler Foundation also <a class=\"x5l\" href=\"https:\/\/projects.propublica.org\/nonprofits\/organizations\/943147856\/202141329349304039\/IRS990ScheduleI\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer external\">gave<\/a> a $500,000 grant to the New Venture Fund for Demand Justice, a radical group that calls for aggressive tactics against conservative judicial nominees.<\/p>\n<p>Demand Justice has called for court packing and for removing Thomas from the Supreme Court.<\/p>\n<h2>Left-Wing News Outlet Now Targeting Justice Alito<\/h2>\n<p>ProPublica has now turned its attention to Justice Alito for his majority decision in Dobbs v. Jackson Women&#8217;s Health Organization, which overturned Roe v. Wade last year.<\/p>\n<p>The news organization <a class=\"x5l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.propublica.org\/article\/samuel-alito-luxury-fishing-trip-paul-singer-scotus-supreme-court\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external\">published<\/a> a critical story about Alito on June 20, using similar themes as their articles on Thomas.<\/p>\n<p>The story claimed that Alito took a &#8220;luxury fishing vacation&#8221; in 2008 with billionaire Paul Singer, who later had cases before the Supreme Court and accused the justice of a conflict of interest.<\/p>\n<p>Justice Alito immediately refuted the article&#8217;s claims <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/articles\/propublica-misleads-its-readers-alito-gifts-disclosure-alaska-singer-23b51eda\">in an op-ed in The Wall Street Journal.<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ProPublica, a nonprofit news outlet, funded by a left-wing organization advocating for the removal of two conservative U.S. Supreme Court justices, has launched personal attacks on them.
