Now, it\u2019s clearer than ever that life is winning in America: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailysignal.com\/2023\/06\/01\/11-months-after-death-roe-v-wade-25-states-aim-protect-life\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">24 states<\/a> have honored the will of their people by putting pro-life protections in place for both mother and child, and tens of thousands of lives have already been saved.<\/p>\n<p>There is much more work to be done but the fields are shining for harvest. The media paint a picture of a deeply divided country. In reality, Americans agree far more than we disagree on life.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Americans overwhelmingly agree that babies should be protected at least when they feel pain, with some exceptions. We agree that the life of the mother must be protected \u2014 so does <a href=\"https:\/\/lozierinstitute.org\/pro-life-laws-protect-mom-and-baby-pregnant-womens-lives-are-protected-in-all-states\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">every state<\/a> with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/gov-noem-effectively-bans-telemedicine-abortions-restricts-chemical-abortions-in-south-dakota\/\" title=\"Gov. Noem Effectively Bans Telemedicine Abortions, Restricts Chemical Abortions\u00a0In South Dakota\">strong pro-life laws<\/a>. And the majority of Americans, alongside Republicans, reject taxpayer funding of abortion.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>We need to be clear-eyed: America is one of only seven countries in the world alongside <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/news\/fact-checker\/wp\/2017\/10\/09\/is-the-united-states-one-of-seven-countries-that-allow-elective-abortions-after-20-weeks-of-pregnancy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">China and North Korea<\/a> that allows abortion on demand past five months. When we say President Biden and the Democratic Party want to impose that extreme position on all 50 states, it ruffles feathers. But don\u2019t take our word for it. Look at their <a href=\"https:\/\/sbaprolife.org\/biden-harris#extreme-agenda\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">record.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Americans <a href=\"https:\/\/sbaprolife.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/3-16-23-National-Survey-FDA.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">agree<\/a> that sending abortion pills through the mail is dangerous and a recipe for abuse. Democrats\u2019 talking point is that abortion should be between a woman and her doctor. Under Biden\u2019s politicized Food and Drug Administration (FDA), mail-order abortions can now be between a young woman, the post office, and her ex-boyfriend or trafficker. Women are left to fend for themselves, and complications are only tracked if they die.<\/p>\n<p>We agree that parents know what\u2019s best for their children and want to protect them from harm. Whether you are pro-life or not, Americans agree that parents have a right to be involved in the biggest, most life-altering decision their daughters may ever make. It\u2019s Biden and the radical Left who say there is no such thing as <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/RNCResearch\/status\/1650570353905893376\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">someone else\u2019s child<\/a> and parents are merely \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/2023\/05\/16\/democrats-gop-parental-notification-abortion-laws-00097245\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">barriers<\/a>\u201d to the pro-abortion agenda.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>We agree that showing compassion to women in unexpected pregnancies is the way to move forward. Heartbreakingly, nearly <a href=\"https:\/\/lozierinstitute.org\/hidden-epidemic-nearly-70-of-abortions-are-coerced-unwanted-or-inconsistent-with-womens-preferences\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">70<\/a> percent of women who have abortions say their abortions were coerced, unwanted or didn\u2019t reflect their values. Most say they wouldn\u2019t have aborted their child if they had more financial or emotional support. More than <a href=\"https:\/\/lozierinstitute.org\/fact-sheet-pregnancy-centers-serving-women-and-saving-lives-2020\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">3,0<\/a>00 pregnancy centers and maternity homes across America exist to provide that support \u2013 assisting with food, housing, parenting classes, clothes, aftercare, job training, and more \u2013 to empower families throughout pregnancy and beyond. Even more encouraging, states like <a href=\"https:\/\/sbaprolife.org\/newsroom\/press-releases\/mississippi-bills-supporting-families-become-law\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Mississippi<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/sbaprolife.org\/newsroom\/press-releases\/nc-senate-committee-advances-care-for-women-children-families-act-would-save-thousands-lives-annually\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">North Carolina<\/a>, and Texas have approved tens of millions of dollars to strengthen the safety net, including adoption and foster care.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>We agree that political violence is unacceptable and the government shouldn\u2019t harass people for being pro-life. Yet over the last year, we\u2019ve seen unprecedented violence and targeting of peaceful pro-life advocates \u2013 not just from pro-abortion radicals but by the federal government. Since the unprecedented leak of the draft Supreme Court decision, there have been nearly <a href=\"https:\/\/catholicvote.org\/pregnancy-center-attack-tracker\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">90 attacks<\/a> on pregnancy centers and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/sen-hawley-says-biden-abortion-policies-are-an-insult\/\" title=\"Sen. Hawley says Biden abortion policies are an insult\">pro-life groups<\/a>, from vandalism to firebombing. Just recently an elderly man was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/us\/baltimore-police-investigating-reported-vicious-assault-pro-life-activists-planned-parenthood\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">viciously beaten<\/a> for daring to pray outside Planned Parenthood.<\/p>\n<p>While the attacks were still ongoing, Biden\u2019s DOJ sent two dozen <a href=\"https:\/\/www.catholicnewsagency.com\/news\/253523\/acquitted-pro-life-activist-mark-houck-reveals-details-of-fbi-raid-will-press-charges\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">armed FBI agents<\/a> to raid the family home of a pro-life Catholic father. The Democrat attorney general of New York even called nonviolent pro-lifers \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtontimes.com\/news\/2023\/jun\/8\/letitia-james-sues-block-pro-life-terrorists-abort\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">terrorists<\/a>\u201d for trying to save babies from abortion.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>What our country needs more than ever is a national defender of life who will embrace and champion the will of Americans. At a minimum, that means listening to the will of the people and the science by protecting unborn babies who can feel pain from abortions later than 15 weeks. States must have the right to enact stronger protections if they choose. But this is a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/saudi-court-jails-womens-rights-activist-posing-challenge-for-biden\/\" title=\"Saudi court jails women\u2019s rights activist, posing challenge for Biden\">human rights issue<\/a>, and whether babies are subjected to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/one-year-after-dobbs-americans-have-more-common-ground-on-protecting-the-unborn\/\" title=\"One year post-Dobbs, Americans unite to safeguard the unborn.\">painful late-term abortions shouldn\u2019<\/a>t be determined by whether a state is red, blue, or purple.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>We have a long way to go to rebuild a culture of life across our great nation, but with <em>Roe v. Wade<\/em> sent to the ash heap of history where it belongs, Americans finally have a voice and a seat at the table. We\u2019re proud of that, and we will not rest or relent until the sanctity of life is restored to the center of our law.<\/p>\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\">\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>One year ago, the Supreme Court upheld our right to safeguard unborn children in the Dobbs ruling.
