safety standard somewhere north of \u201cour products must not put children at risk of impalement.\u201d<\/h2>\n<p>I, however, do not work for ZURU Toys.<\/p>\n<p>That company has recalled roughly 7.5 million Baby Shark and Mini Baby Shark bath toys after reports of injuries to 12 children, three-quarters of which were serious enough to require a doctor\u2019s care.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<h3>\u201cZuru is aware of 12 reports of children falling or sitting onto the recalled full-size Baby Shark bath toy, resulting in impalement injuries, lacerations and puncture wounds, including to children\u2019s genital, anorectal and facial areas,\u201d the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/yeti-issues-massive-recall-potentially-deadly-defect-immediately-stop-use-products\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Consumer Product Safety Commission<\/a> said in a recall notice posted Thursday to its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cpsc.gov\/Recalls\/2023\/Zuru-Recalls-7-5-Million-Baby-Shark-and-Mini-Baby-Shark-Bath-Toys-With-Hard-Plastic-Top-Fins-Due-to-Risk-of-Impalement-Laceration-and-Puncture-Injuries-to-Children\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">website<\/a>.<\/h3>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>\u201cNine of the incidents required stitches or medical attention,\u201d the site said.<\/p>\n<p>Twelve out of 6.5 million sold indicates an incident rate of approximately 0.00018 percent.<\/p>\n<p>The other million products recalled were Mini Baby Shark toys.<\/p>\n<p>Though the company said it wasn\u2019t aware of any problems with the Mini Baby Shark bath toys, it <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/540000-tires-recalled-match-description-symbol-take-immediate-action\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">recalled<\/a> them anyway, evidently out of an abundance of caution.<\/p>\n<p>The website also <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/what-happened-to-jamie-foxx\/\" title=\"Jamie Foxx's current status?\">includes detailed descriptions<\/a> of the affected products.<\/p>\n<p>Zuru offered a refund of $14 for the larger toy and $6 for each Mini Baby Shark, payable in the form of a digital Mastercard, for consumers who follow the recall instructions on the site and upload a picture of \u201cdisabled\u201d product for verification.<\/p>\n<p>The Chinese-manufactured toys have been on the market since 2019 and were apparently sold widely \u2014 CPSC lists \u201cWalmart, CVS Pharmacy, Dollar General Corp., Family Dollar Services, HEB Grocery Company, Meijer, Target, TJX Companies, Ross, and Walgreens stores\u201d as outlets for the products, in addition to the usual <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/ap-smart-holiday-shopping-avoiding-fake-reviews-tricky-ads\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">online retailers<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cZURU Toys is one of the largest toy companies in the world, known for its innovation, creativity and disruption through automation,\u201d according to the company <a href=\"https:\/\/zuru.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">website<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cInspired by kids and imaginative play, ZURU Toys distributes to all major retailers in over 120 countries and has delighted millions of families all over the world with brands such as Bunch O Balloons, X-Shot, Rainbocorns, Robo Alive, Smashers, 5 Surprise and Pets Alive and partnerships with entertainment properties, including Nickelodeon, Disney, Universal Studios and DreamWorks.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In addition to its toy division, ZURU also operates ZURU Edge, a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/senate-confirms-nonveteran-to-head-bidens-veterans-affairs-dept\/\" title=\"Senate Confirms Nonveteran To Head Biden\u2019s Veterans Affairs Dept\">consumer goods company<\/a> that produces care products for personal, home and pet use.<\/p>\n<p>The company also operates in the construction industry, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/7-5-million-toys-meant-for-young-kids-recalled-after-series-of-impalement-injuries-lacerations-and-puncture-wounds\/\" title=\"7.5M Toys process.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTen years in the making, ZURU Tech has reinvented every aspect of the construction process, developing the world\u2019s first BIM software that directly connects to fully
