Version: 4.0.47--><h2>Tara Reade Offers to Testify on Weaponization of Government<\/h2>\n<p>Tara Reade, who last month said she <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/biden-sexual-assault-accuser-flees-country-sending-ominous-warning\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">fled to Russia<\/a> and sought asylum there to avoid danger from the U.S. government, has offered to testify on the subject of the weaponization of the government.<\/p>\n<p>During the 2020 presidential campaign, Reade accused President Joe Biden, for whom she worked in the 1990s when Biden was a U.S. senator, of sexually assaulting her in 1993.<\/p>\n<p>On Tuesday, her London-based attorney, Jonathan Levy, sent a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jlevy.co\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/Offer-to-Testify-to-Select-Committee-June-20-2023-1.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">letter<\/a> to House Judiciary Committee Chairman <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/jim-jordan-exposes-evil-tactics-irs-agent-used-american-taxpayer\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Jim Jordan<\/a> that described Reade as a \u201cpublic interest whistleblower.\u201d The Ohio Republican heads a subcommittee created this year to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/house-republican-whose-phone-was-seized-in-jan-6-probe-might-soon-investigate-the-fbi\/\" title=\"House Republican Whose Phone Was Seized in Jan. 6 Probe Might Soon Investigate the FBI\">investigate alleged abuses<\/a> of federal authority.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cMs. Reade has previously indicated her willingness to testify under oath to the Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government regarding the persecution she has suffered and continues to suffer at the hands of the federal government since she first went public in 2019 regarding her sexual abuse by then Senator Joseph Biden in 1993,\u201d Levy wrote.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Of interest to Jordan\u2019s panel, he said, was what took place after she spoke out.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cAmong the most overt consequences of her coming forward in 2019 was a state investigation of alleged perjury in an unrelated matter,\u201d Levy said. \u201cThis criminal investigation was purely political and questioned her undergraduate academic credentials and qualification to be a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/key-biden-accuser-moves-to-testify-against-him-and-the-fbi-but-only-if-safety-guaranteed\/\" title=\"Biden accuser seeks to testify against him and the FBI, but demands safety assurance.\">domestic violence victim advocate<\/a> when in fact she held a JD degree from the Seattle University School of Law (2004).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEven more ominously, she became a target of a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/missouri-man-charged-with-threatening-to-murder-2-us-congressmen\/\" title=\"Missouri Man Charged With Threatening to Murder 2 US Congressmen\">federal grand jury<\/a> in 2020. We do not know the purpose of the attached grand jury subpoena but the source, Twitter, was working closely with the FBI and CIA at the time to suppress information embarrassing to the Biden Family.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Levy said Reade is in Moscow \u201cseeking temporary asylum there due to her well-founded fear of imminent detention in the United States or a third country.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs she cannot appear in Washington, she nonetheless expresses her willingness to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/is-the-basis-of-alzheimers-research-fundamentally-flawed\/\" title=\"Is the Basis of Alzheimer\u2019s Research Fundamentally Flawed?\">answer written questions<\/a> or testify remotely. Ms. Reade really desires to testify before the subcommittee, please contact me so we can make arrangements,\u201d the attorney wrote.<\/p>\n<h3>Reade&#8217;s Testimony During 2024 Presidential Campaign<\/h3>\n<p>If Reade were to testify, it would be during the 2024 presidential campaign as Biden seeks re-election.<\/p>\n<p>Attached to the letter was a July 2020 subpoena from the U.S. District Court in the Eastern District of California to Twitter asking for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/did-ag-barr-create-durham-special-counsel-to-prevent-president-trump-from-releasing-information-related-to-crossfire-hurricane\/\" title=\"Did AG Barr Create Durham Special Counsel to Prevent President Trump from Releasing Information Related to Crossfire Hurricane?\">information related<\/a> to Reade\u2019s Twitter accounts, including the name of the subscriber, the subscriber\u2019s address and payment information related to the account. The information was to cover the period from April 1, 2019, to the date of the subpoena.<\/p>\n<p>As noted by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.axios.com\/2020\/04\/28\/timeline-tara-reade-joe-biden-sexual-assault-allegations\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Axios<\/a>, April 3, 2019, was the first time she spoke out against Biden, saying at the time that she thought he was guilty of inappropriate touching. On March 25, 2020, Reade made her first public allegation that Biden sexually assaulted her. Biden has denied Reade\u2019s allegations.<\/p>\n<p>Levy told the website <a href=\"https:\/\/hotair.com\/jazz-shaw\/2023\/06\/21\/tara-reade-offers-to-testify-against-biden-fbi-n559499\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">HotAir<\/a> that on the subject of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/tara-reade-gives-explosive-interview-carlson-describes-detail-sick-acts-biden-allegedly\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">in-person testimony<\/a>, it was \u201cunclear if she can be protected from retaliation.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He said he felt Congress \u201ccannot grant her that sort of immunity or protection\u201d she would need from the federal government.<\/p>\n<p>In December, the <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/12\/02\/doj-tara-reade-twitter-joe-biden-sexual-assault-allegations\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Daily Caller<\/a> reported that Reade was informed of the 2020 subpoena by Hayden Schottlaender of Perkins Coie, a lawyer representing Twitter.<\/p>\n<p>At the time, Schottlaender communicated with her via e-mail and told her Twitter planned to comply with the subpoena.<\/p>\n<h3>Reade&#8217;s Safety Concerns and Asylum in Russia<\/h3>\n<p>A <a href=\"https:\/\/hotair.com\/jazz-shaw\/2023\/06\/12\/is-this-why-tara-reade-fled-to-russia-n557339\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">HotAir<\/a> report this month quoted Reade as saying that in the U.S. it was \u201cvery difficult to know if I\u2019m safe or not,\u201d adding, \u201cI just didn\u2019t want to walk home and walk into a cage or be killed.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In May, she appeared in a video titled \u201cA Statement and Press Conference from Tara Reade\u201d that was produced by Sputnik International, a media outlet wholly owned by the Russian government.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd from what I could see based on the cases and based on what was happening and sort of the push for them to not want me to testify, I felt that while this election is gearing up and there\u2019s so much at stake, I\u2019m almost better off here and just being safe,\u201d Reade said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy dream is to live in both places, but it may be that I only live in this place and that\u2019s OK,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>The post <a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/key-biden-accuser-moves-testify-fbi-safety-guaranteed\/\">Key Biden Accuser Moves to Testify Against Him and the FBI &#8211; But Only if Safety Guaranteed<\/a> appeared first on <a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\">The Western Journal<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Tara Reade, who recently claimed seeking asylum in Russia to escape potential harm from the U.S. government, has volunteered to testify about government weaponization.
