Seek to Expunge Trump&#8217;s Impeachments<\/h2>\n<p>Republican Reps. Elise Stefanik (R-N.Y.) and Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) have introduced resolutions seeking to formally expunge both the first and second impeachments of former President Donald Trump.<\/p>\n<p>The congresswomen announced the introduction of the two resolutions in a June 22 statement in which they declared that the Dec. 18, 2019, and Jan. 13, 2021, impeachments of the former president were unconstitutional.<\/p>\n<p>Under their resolutions, charges against Trump would be removed from his record as if they never happened, the lawmakers said.<\/p>\n<p>Specifically, Greene\u2019s resolution (<a href=\"https:\/\/stefanik.house.gov\/_cache\/files\/f\/4\/f4a04ce1-fa76-48fe-86b8-04340171685b\/98A865FB109A4806D2215CE5D59315F9.trump-expungement---mtg.pdf\">pdf<\/a>) would expunge the 2019 impeachment of Trump. The then-Democrat controlled House of Representatives charged Trump with abuse of power and obstruction of Congress related to his phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenksyy.<\/p>\n<p>Trump has repeatedly said there was nothing improper about his phone call with the Ukrainian leader.<\/p>\n<p>Greene argued that the facts and circumstances upon which the impeachment charges were based \u201cdid not meet the burden of proving the commission of high crimes and misdemeanors.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>It also cites a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theepochtimes.com\/fbi-deputy-director-defends-redactions-in-document-given-to-congress-alleging-biden-bribery-scheme_5332307.html\">recently revealed FD-1023<\/a> from an FBI informant who claimed that President Joe Biden, during his time as vice president, was involved in a $5 million \u201cbribery scheme with a foreign national in exchange for certain actions.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The informant alleged that the owner of Ukrainian natural gas firm Burisma paid $5 million to Hunter Biden and $5 million to \u201canother Biden\u201d for the sole purpose of ousting Ukrainian prosecutor-general Viktor Shokin, who was planning to investigate Burisma Holdings.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_5236702\" style=\"width: 640px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\">\n    <a href=\"https:\/\/img.theepochtimes.com\/assets\/uploads\/2023\/05\/02\/id5236702-HamiltonsJ6-photo-1200x900.jpg\"><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\"><noscript><\/noscript><\/figcaption><\/a><br \/>\n    People gathered at the U.S. Capitol in Washington for the \u201cStop the Steal\u201d rally on Jan. 6, 2021. (Courtesy of Michael Hamilton)<br \/>\n  <\/figure>\n<h2>\u2018Politically Motivated Sham\u2019<\/h2>\n<p>Biden has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/los-angeles-county-sheriff-concedes-re-election-race-slams-local-media-political-establishment\/\" title=\"Los Angeles County Sheriff Concedes Re-Election Race; Slams Local Media, Political Establishment\">repeatedly denied allegations<\/a> of bribery.<\/p>\n<p>In a statement announcing the resolutions, Greene branded the first impeachment of Trump \u201ca politically motivated sham\u201d and accused Democrats of having \u201cweaponized a perfect phone call with Ukraine to interfere with the 2020 election.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMeanwhile, the FBI had credible evidence of Joe and Hunter Biden\u2019s corrupt dealings, confirming their involvement in a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/house-gop-introduces-resolutions-to-expunge-trump-impeachment-votes\/\" title=\"House GOP introduces resolutions to erase Trump impeachment votes.\">foreign bribery pay-<\/a>to-play scheme and receipt of over $5 million each,\u201d she said, citing the FD-1023 form from the FBI informant.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe form vindicates President Trump and exposes the crimes of the Biden family,\u201d stated Greene. \u201cIt\u2019s clear that President Trump\u2019s impeachment was nothing more than a witch hunt that needs to be expunged from our history. I\u2019m proud to work with Chairwoman Elise Stefanik on our joint resolutions to correct the record and clear President Trump\u2019s good name.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Stefanik\u2019s resolution (<a href=\"https:\/\/stefanik.house.gov\/_cache\/files\/3\/8\/3809c02b-1caf-4f7a-9597-092d9f677897\/C7D67751A5B339B728C1F84659C2CBD1.stefanik-resolution.pdf\">pdf<\/a>), meanwhile, would scrap the second impeachment charges against Trump for incitement of insurrection following the Jan. 6 breach of the U.S. Capitol.<\/p>\n<p>Her resolution states that the impeachment of Trump was based on \u201ca subjective account\u201d of the events that transpired on the day of the breach and that the House did not follow any meaningful legislative process in its impeachment.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_5286248\" style=\"width: 640px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\">\n    <a href=\"https:\/\/img.theepochtimes.com\/assets\/uploads\/2023\/05\/23\/id5286248-Marjorie-Taylor-Greene--1200x672.jpg\"><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\"><noscript><\/noscript><\/figcaption><\/a><br \/>\n    Rep.
