That revelation eclipses the catalog of other claims of misconduct and political favoritism levied by two IRS whistleblowers, as detailed in the transcripts the House committee released Thursday \u2014 and suggests the bribery claims were never investigated.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<h3>Transcripts Expose Government Abuse<\/h3>\n<p>On Thursday, the House Ways and Means Committee <a href=\"https:\/\/waysandmeans.house.gov\/smith-testimony-of-irs-employees-reveals-biden-irs-doj-interfered-in-tax-investigation-of-hunter-biden-revealing-preferential-treatment-for-wealthy-and-politically-connected\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">announced<\/a> its release of the transcripts of the sworn testimony of two IRS agents who had worked directly on the criminal case against Hunter Biden. According to the press release, the whistleblowers\u2019 testimony \u201coutlines misconduct and government abuse at the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) in the investigation of Hunter Biden.\u201d<\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-2-long d-flex justify-content-center\" style=\"margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center; \" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-1493711472\">\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-1379703300879-0\" class=\"mb-30\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-57001baa1c6356a86df5cda37935823c fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-2\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-57001baa1c6356a86df5cda37935823c\"><\/div>\n<p>While the transcripts expose several shocking details concerning the DOJ, FBI, and IRS\u2019s handling of the Hunter Biden criminal investigation, it is the dog that <em>didn\u2019t<\/em> bark that should sound the alarm.<\/p>\n<p>Nowhere in the transcripts did the IRS whistleblowers discuss the June 30, 2020, FD-1023 report that summarized a \u201chighly credible\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wray-declines-to-confirm-fbis-use-of-geolocation-data-to-track-capitol-rioters-but-says-it-would-not-surprise-me\/\" title=\"Wray Declines to Confirm FBI\u2019s Use of Geolocation Data to Track Capitol Rioters But Says It \u2018Would Not Surprise Me\u2019\">confidential human source<\/a>\u2019s claims that the owner of Burisma said Hunter and Joe Biden coerced him into paying them each $5 million in bribes.<\/p>\n<p>The whistleblowers made clear in supplemental statements provided to the House Ways and Means Committee why that was: because the Delaware U.S. Attorney\u2019s Office did not inform them of the existence or content of the FD-1023. In fact, the June 12, 2023, <a href=\"https:\/\/waysandmeans.house.gov\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/WB-1-Affadavit_Redacted.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">affidavit<\/a> that IRS Criminal Supervisory Special Agent Gary Shapley signed establishes the whistleblowers only realized the FD-1023 had been held back after The Federalist <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/06\/07\/exclusive-bill-barr-confirms-rep-jamie-raskin-lied-about-biden-family-corruption-investigation\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">exclusively reported<\/a> two weeks ago that former Attorney General William Barr said he had sent the CHS\u2019s reporting to Delaware for further investigation.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMost recently, former Attorney General Bill Barr provided an interview in which he stated that information provided by a Confidential Human Source (\u2018CHS\u2019) concerning an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/fbi-raids-detroit-city-hall-council-members-homes-in-light-of-corruption-probe\/\" title=\"FBI raids Detroit City Hall, council members\u2019 homes in light of corruption probe\">alleged bribery scheme<\/a> by President Joe Biden was received through the Pittsburgh [U.S. Attorney Office] and was determined it was not likely to have been disinformation,\u201d Shapley said in his affidavit. Barr noted the FD-1023 \u201cwas provided to the ongoing investigation in Delaware to follow up on and to check out,\u201d the affidavit continued.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-c88977fc38405275d1fce40b2914ac6e fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-6\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-c88977fc38405275d1fce40b2914ac6e\"><\/div>\n<p>But according to the IRS whistleblower, the CHS information Barr referenced was never provided to Shapley, nor to any of the IRS agents acting under his supervision, nor to the FBI agents working with the IRS investigators.<\/p>\n<p>Shapley added that he and other IRS criminal investigators had asked to participate in the briefings the Pittsburgh U.S. Attorney\u2019s Office was providing Delaware, but their requests were denied. Had they participated in those briefings, Shapley stressed, they would have undertaken proper investigative steps to determine the veracity of the CHS\u2019s claims. According to Shapley\u2019s affidavit, however, because the information was never provided to the investigators, the agents involved took no steps to determine if the CHS\u2019s allegations could be substantiated.<\/p>\n<p>The second whistleblower, Shapley\u2019s anonymous subordinate and the case agent on the Hunter Biden tax investigation, provided a similar statement, albeit via a letter from his attorney.<\/p>\n<p>Since the second whistleblower\u2019s testimony, the letter explained, multiple news articles reported on the existence of the June 2020 FD-1023 report of a CHS\u2019s bribery allegations, as well as Barr\u2019s statement that he had sent that information to Delaware for further investigation. However, according to the case agent\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/waysandmeans.house.gov\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/WB-2-Supplemental-Submission_Redacted.pdf\">attorney<\/a>, \u201che has never seen this FBI Form 1023\u201d and \u201cdoes not recall ever hearing about this information being turned over in any meetings with the prosecution team in Delaware.\u201d<\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-655f469f1f5d08230adaa924c3656e0f fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-10\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-655f469f1f5d08230adaa924c3656e0f\"><\/div>\n<p>The whistleblowers\u2019 claims that they did not see the FD-1023 and that the investigating IRS and FBI agents with whom they worked also do not recall ever learning of the information is huge because these agents were essentially the only ones conducting any semblance of an investigation into Hunter Biden. It is inconceivable that this evidence would be withheld from the investigating agents.<\/p>\n<p>Further, Shapley\u2019s investigative team was precisely the group to investigate the allegations contained in the FD-1023, as his <a href=\"https:\/\/waysandmeans.house.gov\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/Whistleblower-1-Transcript_Redacted.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">group<\/a> is \u201cknown as the International Tax and Financial Crimes group,\u201d and consists of \u201c12 elite agents who were selected based on their experience and performance in the area of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/delaware-u-s-attorneys-office-buried-biden-bribery-allegations-ag-barr-sent-for-investigation\/\" title=\"Delaware U.S. Attorney's Office conceals Biden bribery claims; AG Barr investigates.\">complex high-dollar international tax investigations<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The question remains who within the Delaware U.S. Attorney\u2019s Office withheld the FD-1023 from Shapley and his team when Barr had directed that the CHS\u2019s reporting be sent there for further investigation. Further, Barr has recently <a href=\"https:\/\/talkingpointsmemo.com\/edblog\/fox-news-barr-interview-transcript\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">confirmed<\/a> the Delaware U.S. Attorney\u2019s Office was briefed on the detailed allegations contained in the FD-1023, following then-U.S. Attorney Scott Brady\u2019s conclusion that the CHS\u2019s reporting did not appear to be misinformation.<\/p>\n<p>The scandal is not limited to Delaware, however. A <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/05\/31\/breadcrumbs-from-a-buried-fbi-source-may-lead-to-a-bigger-biden-scandal\/\">related<\/a> scandal connects to another whistleblower who claims that in \u201cAugust 2020, FBI Supervisory Intelligence Analyst Brian Auten opened an assessment which was used by a FBI Headquarters (\u2018FBI HQs\u2019) team to improperly discredit negative Hunter Biden information as disinformation and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/whistleblower-fbi-wrongly-labeled-verified-hunter-biden-evidence-disinformation\/\" title=\"Whistleblower: FBI Wrongly Labeled Verified Hunter Biden Evidence \"Disinformation\"\">caused investigative activity<\/a> to cease.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Every indication <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/05\/31\/breadcrumbs-from-a-buried-fbi-source-may-lead-to-a-bigger-biden-scandal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">suggests<\/a> it was the FD-1023 that the FBI HQ\u2019s team falsely labeled disinformation, which raises the specter that individuals in the Delaware U.S. Attorney\u2019s Office were colluding with FBI HQ to protect the Biden family. It is now up to Sen.
