Just to refresh your memory, the first payment for June was already sent on June 1.<\/p>\n<h3>Why the Double Payment?<\/h3>\n<p>Now, you might be wondering why you&#8217;re receiving two payments this month. Well, it&#8217;s all because of a small quirk in the Social Security Administration&#8217;s schedule. In months where the first of the following month falls on a weekend, recipients are given two checks.
