Version: 4.0.47--><h2>OceanGate&#8217;s Titan Submersible Lost in Titanic Wreckage Expedition<\/h2>\n<p>OceanGate, the company whose Titan submersible went missing at the start of the week as it traveled to view the wreckage of the Titanic, released a statement Thursday afternoon saying that it believes that five people on board have all tragically lost their lives.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cWe now believe that our CEO Stockton Rush, Shahzada Dawood and his son Suleman Dawood, Hamish Harding, and Paul-Henri Nargeolet, have sadly been lost,\u201d the statement said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<h3>Debris Field Discovered Near Titanic<\/h3>\n<p>The United States Coast Guard announced in a statement earlier in the day that a debris field was discovered near the Titanic.<\/p>\n<p>The discovery was made by a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/u-s-coast-guard-finds-debris-field-near-titanic-while-searching-for-titan-submersible\/\" title=\"U.S. Coast Guard discovers debris near Titanic during Titan Submersible search.\">remote-controlled vehicle deployed<\/a> by the Horizon Arctic, according to The New York Times.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cA debris field was discovered within the search area by an ROV near the Titanic,\u201d USGC Northeast said in a statement. \u201cExperts within the unified command are evaluating the information.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>CNN later <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/americas\/live-news\/titanic-missing-sub-oceangate-06-22-23\/index.html\">reported<\/a> that the debris discovered within the search area was \u201cassessed to be from the external body of the sub.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Rear Admiral John Mauger said that the debris that was discovered was \u201cthe tail cone of the Titan submersible approximately 1,600 feet from the bow of the Titanic on the sea floor.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Additional debris was found and Mauger said that it was \u201cconsistent with the catastrophic loss of the pressure chamber.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He said that upon the discovery, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/all-5-aboard-doomed-titanic-sub-have-sadly-been-lost-oceangate-confirms\/\" title=\"OceanGate has confirmed the tragic loss of all five individuals aboard the ill-fated Titanic sub.\">officials immediately notified<\/a> the families that their loved ones were deceased.<\/p>\n<p>When asked about recovering the bodies from the submersible, Mauger suggested that it would be difficult to locate the bodies because the debris showed that it imploded due to the intense pressures near the bottom of the ocean.<\/p>\n<p>Mauger suggested that the submersible could have imploded around the time that the ship lost contact with it because rescuers have not detected any catastrophic implosions in the water over the last 72+ hours with the sonar buoys that were deployed to find the vessel.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>This is a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/trump-grants-26-pardons-and-3-commutations-includes-numerous-prominent-names\/\" title=\"Trump Grants 26 Pardons And 3 Commutations, Includes Numerous Prominent Names\">breaking news story<\/a>; refresh the page for updates.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>OceanGate, the company behind the missing Titan submersible, announced on Thursday that it tragically presumes the deaths of its CEO Stockton Rush, Shahzada Dawood, and his son Suleman, along with two other individuals.
