Ferguson, no longer enjoys that guarantee.<\/p>\n<p>Indeed, abortions were down over the period that was covered \u2014 although, as the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailysignal.com\/2023\/06\/12\/planned-parenthood-annual-report-374000-abortions-more-transgender-services-while-taxpayers-chip-670m\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Daily Signal\u2019s<\/a> Melanie Israel noted, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/they-pick-and-choose-biden-faces-backlash-for-publicizing-covid-vaccine-statuses-while-ordering-abortion-privacy\/\" title=\"\u2018They Pick And Choose\u2019: Biden Faces Backlash For Publicizing COVID Vaccine Statuses While Ordering Abortion Privacy\">health-related data<\/a> actually only covered parts of 2020 and 2021, when Roe was still <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/looks-like-roe-v-wades-demise-saved-many-lives-state-sees-dramatic-99-decrease-abortions\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the law of the land<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>That means an even sharper downturn might happen next year.<\/p>\n<p>But fear not, Planned Parenthood defenders. Your favorite baby-killers have a new grift they\u2019re milking: so-called transgender services.<\/p>\n<p>While <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/joseph-no-kamala-abortion-not-health-care\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">abortions<\/a> were down in this <a href=\"https:\/\/cdn.plannedparenthood.org\/uploads\/filer_public\/25\/ed\/25ed2675-fbbc-453b-8b35-f8ddaa025b57\/281222-ppfa-annualreport-c3-digital.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">report<\/a> to 374,155 from 383,460 the previous year (a record, it must be noted), the report showed net assets up to $2.3 billion from $2.1 billion.<\/p>\n<p>Part of this was an increase in government funding: $670.4 million vs. $633.4 million the prior year. Revenue was also up to $1.9 billion from $1.7 billion. The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/days-svu-child-porn-raid-former-planned-parenthood-director-kills-investigation-ongoing\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">organization<\/a> also added 137,000 individual contributors, bringing the total to 727,000.<\/p>\n<p>However, one of the things we\u2019ve often been told from the abortion mill \u2014 and which has been repeatedly debunked \u2014 is that it\u2019s mostly an organization dedicated to women\u2019s health, not to killing the unborn.<\/p>\n<p>Yet again, the report proved that was a load of bull, as Israel noted.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPlanned Parenthood performed 208 abortions for every adoption referral. Meanwhile, the number of patients Planned Parenthood saw (2.13 million) declined yet again,\u201d she wrote.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Charlotte Lozier Institute, a pro-life research and education organization, points out the shocking long-term decline in actual health services. Since 2010, breast exams are down 74%, Pap tests are down 70%, prenatal services are down 85%, and contraceptive services are down 36%.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>So, where\u2019s the windfall coming from? It\u2019s not just the government or individual donors \u2014 but, instead, a focus on the latest liberal battleground, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/governor-calls-investigation-prestigious-hospital-conservative-commentators-expose-pediatric-transgender-clinic\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">transgender treatment<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn the latest report, Planned Parenthood says that \u201941 affiliates provide gender-affirming hormone therapy.\u2019 And when you look at the data, the numbers are even more shocking,\u201d Israel said.<\/p>\n<p>Planned Parenthood categorizes the data regarding transgender therapies under \u201cOther Services\u201d in its reports. When it began providing \u201cgender-affirming care\u201d in 2014, its first subsequent report listed 8,153 procedures under \u201cOther Services.\u201d In the 2020-2021 report, that number had risen substantially to 15,902.<\/p>\n<p>And then came the 2021-2022 report \u2014 in which procedures categorized under \u201cOther Services\u201d went up over 16 times, to 256,550.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe meteoric rise in the \u2018Other Services\u2019 category is astounding,\u201d Israel wrote.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd by Planned Parenthood\u2019s own admission (it isn\u2019t exactly making the press rounds bragging about providing other types of services in this category), we know that transgender \u2018health care\u2019 makes up the bulk of the dramatic rise.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The report does note that other services \u201cin this category include WIC services (a federally funded nutrition program for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/its-demonic-religious-mothers-mourn-how-trans-movement-is-devouring-sons-find-solace-in-secret-online-group\/\" title=\"\u2018It\u2019s Demonic\u2019: Religious Mothers Mourn How Trans Movement Is \u2018Devouring\u2019 Sons, Find Solace In Secret Online Group\">low-income women<\/a>, infants, and children up to the age of five), pediatric care, transgender services, other adult preventive care, and high complexity visits, including infertility services.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>However, the exact same definition of \u201cOther Services\u201d was used in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.plannedparenthood.org\/uploads\/filer_public\/40\/8f\/408fc2ad-c8c2-48da-ad87-be5cc257d370\/211214-ppfa-annualreport-20-21-c3-digital.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">2020-2021 report<\/a>. The only thing that could account for this difference \u2014 aside from an errant digit being thrown in there by a distracted Planned Parenthood staffer putting together the Excel report \u2014 is the abortion giant\u2019s shift to being a transgender services giant as well.<\/p>\n<p>As many noted after a \u201cpride month\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/planned-parenthoods-pride-month-post-epically-backfires-feminism-exist-anymore\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">tweet<\/a> from Planned Parenthood\u2019s official account, abortion and abortion rights no longer seemed to be first and foremost on the organization\u2019s mind. In fact, women\u2019s rights even seemed to be an afterthought, if one were to judge by this post:<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Labeling abortion as only \u201cwomen\u2019s rights\u201d or a \u201cwomen\u2019s issue\u201d erases the experiences and identities of queer, nonbinary, and trans folks who also have abortions and downplays the additional barriers they face when accessing care.
