Inslee Declare Racism A Public Health Crisis\">chief diversity officer<\/a> and the director of its diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives has left the company, which is currently reeling from two <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/disney-diversity-executive-exits-post-after-back-to-back-box-office-flops\/\" title=\"Disney's Diversity Executive Departs Following Consecutive Box Office Failures.\">recent box office flops<\/a>.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Variety reported senior vice president Latondra Newton left the multimedia giant, staffers were told through a company email earlier this week.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Disney chief human resources officer Sonia Coleman wrote that Newton \u201cdecided to leave The Walt Disney Company to pursue other endeavors.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Coleman continued:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cSince joining the company in 2017, Latondra has led the company\u2019s strategic diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives, including partnering with stakeholders across the enterprise to amplify stories of the world by people around the world.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShe has been dedicated to ensuring every person sees themselves and their life experiences represented in a meaningful and authentic way.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Variety reported Newton would join the board of another company, but it is unclear what that company might be.<\/p>\n<p>It is not clear why the former <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/ng-disney-ceo-bob-chapek-chose-to-be-joe-rogan-not-dave-chappelle-he-chose-poorly\/\" title=\"Ng: Disney CEO Bob Chapek Chose to Be Joe Rogan, Not Dave Chappelle. He Chose Poorly.\">executive chose<\/a> to leave the company, but Disney has dropped back-to-back box office failures that some moviegoers deemed \u201cwoke.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>The $200 million animated Pixar film \u201cElemental\u201d dropped last week and is taking a bruising in theaters.<\/p>\n<p>The children\u2019s film features a \u201cnonbinary\u201d character.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Disney released a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/disney-cancels-gina-carano-over-tweets-while-ignoring-far-worse-from-others\/\" title=\"Disney Cancels Gina Carano Over Tweets While Ignoring Far Worse From Others\">live-action remake<\/a> of the classic \u201cThe Little Mermaid\u201d last month that also underperformed.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>The character of Ariel and her signature red hair was scrapped as the studio tapped black actress Halle Bailey to play the title character.<\/p>\n<p>The film made back its budget and some but it performed poorly in China \u2014 a market Hollywood relies on for profits.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Such a film should have crossed the $1 billion mark but had only earned $470 million worldwide as of Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>While Disney\u2019s spring and summer films have underperformed, Universal\u2019s animated hit \u201cThe Super Mario Bros.
