Charles Q. Brown, who was <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2023\/05\/25\/biden-picks-gen-charles-q-brown-as-chair-of-joint-chiefs\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">tapped<\/a> by President Joe Biden last month to become the next chair of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.<\/p>\n<p>While legacy media\u2019s coverage has largely focused on the \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/military-biden-chief-brown-chairman-eee7a2cae164b0eeadbb9614e49db879\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">history-making<\/a>\u201d nature of Brown\u2019s nomination, such coverage has ignored the Air Force general\u2019s previously disclosed support for the same DEI ideology currently wreaking havoc on the U.S. military. For context, diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives (often abbreviated to DEI) employ a divisive and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/report-unable-to-meet-recruiting-targets-the-u-s-navy-is-turning-to-drag-queens-for-help\/\" title=\"US Navy seeks help from drag queens to meet recruitment goals.\">poisonous ideology dismissive<\/a> of merit to discriminate based on characteristics such as skin color and sexual orientation. Individuals who qualify for a certain position due to their merits but don\u2019t meet the discriminating entity\u2019s goal of being more \u201cdiverse\u201d are passed over in favor of those who meet the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/i-cant-believe-i-fought-for-this-bullsh-t-navy-seal-who-killed-bin-laden-blasts-pentagon-for-drag-queen-gimmick\/\" title=\"Navy SEAL who killed Bin Laden criticizes Pentagon for drag queen performance.\">preferred identitarian standards<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Following the May 2020 death of George Floyd, Brown issued a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=UjPco68usEo\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">video statement<\/a> expressing his thoughts on the situation and his personal experience as a black American in the Air Force. In the video, Brown questioned whether non<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/revisiting-the-racialist-nonsense-espoused-by-bidens-pick-for-joint-chiefs-of-staff-chair\/\" title=\"Biden's Pick for Joint Chiefs Chair Revisits Racialist Nonsense\">-black airmen viewed racism<\/a> as a problem, <a href=\"https:\/\/americanaccountabilityfoundation.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/cqb.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">saying<\/a>, \u201cI\u2019m thinking about how these airmen view racism, whether they don\u2019t see it as a problem since it doesn\u2019t happen to them or whether they\u2019re empathetic.\u201d At the end of the video, Brown also expressed his desire to acquire \u201cthe wisdom and knowledge to lead, participate in, and listen to necessary conversations on racism, diversity, and inclusion.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>While participating in a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/bidens-pick-for-joint-chiefs-chair-made-diversity-and-inclusion-focal-points-in-air-force-personnel-decisions\/\" title=\"Biden's Joint Chiefs Chair nominee prioritized diversity and inclusion in Air Force personnel choices.\">virtual discussion hosted<\/a> by the Chicago Council on Global Affairs later that year, Brown <a href=\"https:\/\/www.airandspaceforces.com\/brown-diversity-push-changing-personnel-decision-process\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">indicated<\/a> that \u201c[a]t the higher level of the Air Force, diversity ha[d] moved to the forefront of personnel decisions such as promotions and hiring.\u201d During the same event, Brown also <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/05\/08\/bidens-pick-for-joint-chiefs-chair-made-diversity-and-inclusion-focal-points-in-air-force-personnel-decisions\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">admitted<\/a> to using his post to increase opportunities for so-called \u201cdiverse candidates\u201d in the Air Force, saying he \u201chire[d] for diversity\u201d when building his staff.<\/p>\n<p>Brown has also <a href=\"https:\/\/www.defenseone.com\/policy\/2022\/02\/inside-air-force-chiefs-mission-racial-equity\/362191\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">pushed back<\/a> against sentiments from congressional Republicans who have expressed concerns about the Biden administration\u2019s attempt to spread DEI instruction throughout the military, saying in a February 2022 interview, \u201c[Y]ou\u2019ve got to look at the demographics of our country, how it\u2019s changing. If you have that approach [of opposing inclusivity efforts] you\u2019re gonna have very few people that come serve.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In addition to espousing racialist rhetoric, Brown has also seemingly taken several actions as Air Force chief of staff to expand so-called \u201cdiversity\u201d and \u201cinclusion\u201d efforts throughout the branch. During a January 2021 interview with The Washington Post, Brown \u2014 in response to being asked about a PBS report alleging a lack of diversity among Air Force personnel \u2014 claimed the Air Force was taking several actions to address such purported issues.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe broke up our promotion boards to actually do developmental categories, so it wasn\u2019t kind of about a big one-size-fits-all by and large, and that gives us a better little better chance to work some of the talent management aspects,\u201d Brown <a href=\"https:\/\/americanaccountabilityfoundation.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/cqb.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">said<\/a>. \u201cThe other things that we have to do is ensure that we have diversity on the boards, but also diversity on the candidate list.
