Adam Schiff Challenges Special Counsel John Durham<\/h2>\n<p>During a Wednesday congressional hearing, Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) engaged in a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/donald-trump-ends-negotiations-with-nancy-pelosi-on-coronavirus-relief\/\" title=\"Donald Trump Ends Negotiations with Nancy Pelosi on Coronavirus Relief\">heated exchange<\/a> with special counsel John Durham. Durham had recently issued a report criticizing the FBI&#8217;s handling of the 2016 investigation into then-Republican <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/joe-biden-knows-he-messed-up-on-fracking-at-debate-and-is-now-doing-damage-control-the-daily-wire\/\" title=\"Joe Biden Knows He Messed Up On Fracking At Debate And Is Now Doing Damage Control | The Daily Wire\">presidential candidate<\/a> Donald Trump.<\/p>\n<p>Durham defended his report&#8217;s conclusion that the FBI should not have launched the investigation into Trump. As he presented his findings, Schiff focused on a June 9, 2016, meeting at Trump Tower involving Trump&#8217;s son, son-in-law, campaign manager, and a Russian lawyer.<\/p>\n<p>Leading up to the meeting, Trump Jr. received emails from a publicist claiming to have incriminating information about Hillary Clinton. Schiff questioned Durham about Trump Jr.&#8217;s awareness of these emails.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;People get phone calls all the time from individuals who claim to have information like that,&#8221; Durham replied.<\/p>\n<p>Schiff pressed further, emphasizing the significance of a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/durham-appears-to-squeeze-schiff-zinger-into-trump-russia-probe-testimony\/\" title=\"Durham's Testimony Suggests Schiff's Zinger in Trump-Russia Probe\">foreign government offering dirt<\/a> on a presidential candidate.
