Hunter will plead guilty to failing to pay about $100,000 in taxes for 2017 and for failing to pay a similar amount for 2018. The tax charges Hunter faces are misdemeanors.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWell, I think the indictment of President Trump, which was a grave, significant act, really demands that the department assure everybody that the investigations into the Bidens was thorough and that the final decisions reached were reasonable <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u2013<\/span> and I agree with Jonathan Turley, it\u2019s not looking that good,\u201d Barr <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bizpacreview.com\/2023\/06\/21\/barr-admits-double-standard-of-justice-exists-after-hunter-biden-deal-urges-garland-to-address-it-1370423\/\">said<\/a> during an interview on Fox News.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe key question as you say is, is this just the end of the gun and the tax case, or is this end of the whole shebang?\u201d Barr continued. \u201cAll the other things that were swirling around that the press reported on: Alleged bribery, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/alex-murdaugh-disgraced-attorney-indicted-for-allegedly-killing-wife-son\/\" title=\"Alex Murdaugh, Disgraced Attorney, Indicted For Allegedly Killing Wife, Son\">alleged money laundering<\/a> and influence peddling, and even allegations by whistleblowers of internal hanky-panky in the investigation.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis demands a thorough accounting, and so I don\u2019t think the department can do what its normal act would be here or normal posture would be, which is to say nothing,\u201d he added. \u201cI think the public interest demands that they assure people of the integrity of this investigation and the fairness of the final decision.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Weiss\u2019 office released a statement on Tuesday <a href=\"https:\/\/www.justice.gov\/usao-de\/pr\/tax-and-firearm-charges-filed-against-robert-hunter-biden\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">saying<\/a> that the investigation was \u201congoing.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Barr urged House Republicans to continue their investigations into the Biden family since the administration is likely going to stonewall efforts to make more information public.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHalf the country believes there\u2019s a double standard of justice, or more than half of the country,\u201d he added. \u201cI believe there\u2019s a double standard and I\u2019ve been an insider. And I said even before these pleas were announced, it was critical that the department provide assurance to the American people that these cases are gonna [be] fairly and thoroughly followed through on, and now this burden is especially heavy.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><b data-stringify-type=\"bold\"><\/b><\/p>\n<p>Barr told Fox News Digital that he believes Attorney General Merrick Garland needs to take quick, \u201cconcrete steps to address\u201d the allegations of a double-standard in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/president-trump-please-pardon-jon-woods-a-victim-of-process-crimes-like-michael-flynn\/\" title=\"President Trump, Please Pardon Jon Woods, a Victim of Process Crimes Like Michael Flynn\">criminal justice system<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cUnder these circumstances, I think the AG should consider providing Chairman Comer, and his Senate supporters, the 1023 report they\u2019ve been seeking, subject to terms necessary to protect the life and safety of a confidential source,\u201d Barr said.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Former Attorney General Bill Barr emphasized the urgency of releasing the FBI document exposing an alleged illegal bribery scheme involving Joe Biden and a foreign national.
