Adam Schiff<\/h2>\n<p>The House of Representatives voted to censure Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) on June 21, a week after an initial resolution to do so was tabled.<\/p>\n<p>The measure passed along party lines on a vote of 213-209. Six Republicans voted \u201cpresent.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The resolution, introduced by Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-Fla.), blasts Schiff, a Democrat, for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/house-votes-to-censure-adam-schiff\/\" title=\"House censures Adam Schiff\">allegedly perpetuating misinformation<\/a> against former President Donald Trump. With the passing of the resolution, Schiff has been referred to the House Ethics Committee for investigation.<\/p>\n<p>The resolution was privileged and therefore triggered a House vote. In last week\u2019s vote, 20 Republicans joined 205 Democrats to table the initial resolution.<\/p>\n<p>The revised resolution was similar to the initial one, with the notable difference being that it doesn\u2019t include a $16 million fine for Schiff should he be held accountable by the House Ethics Committee for his alleged \u201cfalsehoods, misrepresentations, and abuses of sensitive information.\u201d The proposed $16 million fine is half of the taxpayer cost of special counsel Robert Mueller\u2019s investigation.<\/p>\n<p>The new resolution, like the tabled one, condemns Schiff, the former chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, for perpetuating the notion there was collusion between former President Donald Trump\u2019s 2016 campaign and Russia. That was debunked by Mueller in 2019, Department of Justice Inspector General Michael Horowitz later the same year, and special counsel John Durham in May.<\/p>\n<p>Durham testified on June 20 at a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/dem-congressmen-surveilled-by-trump-doj-were-actually-subject-to-an-incidental-collection\/\" title=\"Dem Congressmen Surveilled By Trump DOJ Were Actually Subject To An \u2018Incidental Collection\u2019\">closed-door hearing<\/a> before the House Intelligence Committee and also gave <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theepochtimes.com\/durham-rules-should-change-so-heads-could-roll-at-fbi_5348054.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">testimony<\/a> in a public hearing on June 21 in front of the House Judiciary Committee.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, the new resolution didn\u2019t state that \u201cSchiff used his position and access to sensitive information to instigate a fraudulently based investigation, which he then used to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/congresswoman-files-to-censure-schiff-fine-him-16-million-after-durham-report-will-not-back-down\/\" title=\"Congresswoman seeks to censure Schiff and fine him  million after Durham report, vows to stand firm.\">amass political gain<\/a> and fundraising dollars.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theepochtimes.com\/mccarthy-responds-to-shelving-of-censure-resolution-of-schiff_5336384.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">gave credence<\/a> on June 15 to the 20 House Republicans that joined Democrats in tabling the initial resolution.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think everybody knows my thoughts of Adam Schiff,\u201d McCarthy told The Epoch Times. \u201cThat\u2019s why I removed him from [the House Intelligence Committee]. \u2026 You have a number of members on principle that sat and argued for the last four years with President [Donald] Trump that you had to have due process and voted that way. And I think a number of them believe that they should [have] gone to [the House Ethics Committee] first.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Ahead of the vote on the revised resolution, Schiff appeared defiant on the House floor.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTo my Republican colleagues who introduced this resolution, I thank you. You honor me with your enmity. You flatter me with this falsehood,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou who are the authors of the Big Lie about the last election must condemn the truth-tellers and I stand proudly before you.
