George Santos (R-NY), ordering the identities of the individuals who sponsored his criminal bond to be unsealed. However, Santos&#8217;s legal team has not provided this information, according to court filings. The Ethics Committee initiated the investigation after the House voted to refer the matter to the panel, temporarily saving Santos from a potential expulsion.<\/p>\n<p>Santos&#8217;s defense attorneys have argued that revealing the names of the sponsors could have severe consequences, including distress, job loss, or even physical harm to them.
