But unlike Manafort\u2019s, the indictment of Biden reveals nothing about his foreign business dealings.<\/p>\n<p>According to GOP congressional investigations, Biden and his <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/barebones-hunter-biden-indictment-contrasts-with-treatment-of-manafort\/\" title=\"Hunter Biden's indictment is minimal compared to Manafort's treatment.\">business partners operated dozens<\/a> of shell companies that appeared to be designed to obfuscate movements of money from people and entities with ties to foreign governments, including those of China and Ukraine.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cSince the FBI\u2019s investigation into Hunter Biden began nearly five years ago, I and my colleagues in Congress have uncovered extensive government and bank records indicative of money laundering as well as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/house-republicans-investigate-government-contracts-and-loans-awarded-to-biden-donors\/\" title=\"House Republicans Investigate Government Contracts and Loans Awarded to Biden Donors\">foreign business schemes<\/a> that, in any other circumstance, would raise serious criminal and counterintelligence concerns,\u201d commented Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) in a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.grassley.senate.gov\/news\/news-releases\/grassley-hunter-plea-deal-cant-be-final-word\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">release<\/a>. \u201cHunter\u2019s laptop, which the FBI has had since 2019, contains records corroborating much of this evidence, as well as evidence of other serious criminal violations.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Republican lawmakers stressed that they haven\u2019t been able to find a legitimate business of Hunter Biden\u2019s\u2014neither product nor service\u2014save for his ability to facilitate access to and potentially favors from his father, especially during Joe Biden\u2019s terms as vice president.<\/p>\n<p>Yet the indictment, at barely two pages, offers no detail on Hunter Biden\u2019s activities. It merely states that he \u201cwillfully\u201d failed to pay somewhere above $200,000 in taxes on income exceeding $3 million from 2017 and 2018\u2014charges so light he may avoid prison altogether. It mentions nothing about what made the behavior willful, not to mention where the money came from, or even exactly how much money was involved.<\/p>\n<p>Biden also faced a separate charge for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/pennsylvania-lawmakers-look-to-impeach-woke-philly-da\/\" title=\"Pennsylvania Lawmakers Look to Impeach Woke Philly DA\">illegal gun possession<\/a>, but was allowed to resolve it through pre-trial diversion, a program that allows him to avoid both incarceration and a criminal record.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The DOJ obtained a guilty plea from Hunter Biden for tax evasion.
