Hunter Biden plans to plead guilty in an upcoming hearing to violations of a law that forbids people from \u201cwillfully fail[ing]\u201d to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/breaking-anti-virus-millionaire-john-mcafee-found-dead-from-suicide-in-spanish-prison-hours-after-extradition-order-report\/\" title=\"BREAKING: Anti-Virus Millionaire John McAfee Found Dead From Suicide In Spanish Prison, Hours After Extradition Order: Report\">file tax returns<\/a> or pay taxes. (Nicholas Kamm\/AFP via Getty Images)<\/figure>\n<p>Despite the charges, Comer says he remains focused on his mission to uncover the truth of Biden\u2019s business dealings with foreign nationals. Evidence unearthed by a trusted FBI informant alleges that the president accepted at least $5 million as a bribe from a foreign national, but more recent allegations put that figure at at least $10 million, in part through the use of shell companies.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is an investigation of Joe Biden,\u201d Comer said. \u201cSo what happened today [with Hunter Biden] really doesn\u2019t matter.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Comer made the comments ahead of a 4 p.m. meeting in the House sensitive compartmented information facility (SCIF) where he is set to review another FD-1023 form, a form from an FBI informant making allegations of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/the-case-for-a-hunter-biden-special-counsel\/\" title=\"The Case for a Hunter Biden Special Counsel\">potentially criminal conduct<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWith respect to things, we\u2019ve still got people coming in that we hope to depose in the next weeks and months,\u201d said Comer. \u201cAnd we also have more bank records coming in.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-Md.) has often repeated a claim that under President Donald Trump, Attorney General Bill Barr looked into the same allegations and dismissed them as lacking in substance. But Barr told the Epoch Times that this claim was untrue, and that the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theepochtimes.com\/barr-refutes-raskin-comments-that-investigation-into-biden-bribery-allegations-was-closed_5318848.html\">investigation remained open<\/a> upon his leaving the Department of Justice (DOJ).<\/p>\n<p>One reporter asked Comer what he might find that other investigators could not find.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat could you find that [Trump\u2019s DOJ] didn\u2019t find? They looked into a lot of these issues.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI don\u2019t know. I would ask the U.S. attorney, did you look into the shell companies? Did you look at the money laundering? Did you consider the fact that\u2014let\u2019s say Joe Biden had nothing to do with this money\u2014then would that not make the president\u2019s son an unregistered foreign agent? What about wire fraud? How do you justify taking wires that were laundered through shell companies from foreign nationals? In my opinion, that\u2019s three crimes \u2026 you got wire fraud, you\u2019ve got money laundering, you\u2019ve got racketeering.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>However, the DOJ investigation into the younger Biden is reportedly ongoing.<\/p>\n<p>Nevertheless, Comer expressed dissatisfaction with the length of time taken for the investigation, which he said should have been \u201ceasy\u201d in view of the charges.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe don\u2019t know exactly what the U.S. attorney was investigating,\u201d Comer said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019ve known for seven years, and he was investigating the fact that the president\u2019s son didn\u2019t pay taxes for two years. That\u2019s an easy investigation. He had a W-2 and failed to pay taxes. I don\u2019t know why it took seven years to come up with a plea deal. But, regardless, the very last line says this investigation is ongoing, which is what the FBI told me.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2>\u2018Sweetheart Deal\u2019<\/h2>\n<p>The right-wing of the House Republican conference was critical of Biden\u2019s deal with the DOJ, with Rep.
