Trump is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/manhattan-da-pushes-back-on-trump-bid-to-remove-judge-in-hush-money-case\/\" title=\"Manhattan DA resists Trump's attempt to oust judge in hush money case.\">facing 34 felony counts related<\/a> to alleged falsification of business records in connection to a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/manhattan-prosecutors-investigating-second-alleged-trump-hush-money-payment-to-adult-star\/\" title=\"Manhattan Prosecutors Investigating Second Alleged Trump Hush Money Payment To Adult Star\">hush payment made<\/a> to Stormy Daniels before the 2016 election.<\/p>\n<p>In their filing, prosecutors highlighted Trump&#8217;s history of baselessly accusing judges of bias and argued against granting his motion. They stated that granting the recusal would set a precedent for defendants to choose their own judges, undermining the integrity of the judicial system.<\/p>\n<p>Trump&#8217;s claims of bias are based on Merchan&#8217;s daughter&#8217;s past work for Democrats and the alleged financial benefit the judge would gain from a conviction.
