On Tuesday, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/americas\/live-news\/titanic-submersible-missing-search-06-20-23\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CNN<\/a> reported that the U.S. Navy is sending what it calls the \u201cFlyaway Deep Ocean Salvage System\u201d to help in the search efforts.<\/p>\n<p>The FADOSS is a \u201cmotion compensated lift system designed to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/cbs-journalist-had-harrowing-experience-inside-missing-titanic-submersible-just-last-year\/\" title=\"CBS journalist's terrifying encounter in the lost Titanic submersible occurred recently.\">provide reliable deep ocean lifting capacity<\/a> for the recovery of large, bulky, and heavy undersea objects such as aircraft or small vessels,\u201d a representative said. The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.navy.mil\/Resources\/Photo-Gallery\/igphoto\/2002536255\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Navy<\/a> says the equipment can lift an object as heavy as 60,000 pounds.<\/p>\n<p>The equipment is expected to arrive in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/submersibles-expert-thinks-knows-happened-missing-vessel-deeply-worrisome\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Newfoundland<\/a> overnight, as Coast Guard officials said Tuesday the crew had about 40 hours of oxygen left.<\/p>\n<div class=\"firefly-embed\">\n<\/div>\n<h3>A Dive Filled with Challenges<\/h3>\n<p>When Pogue went for his dive, the first attempt was canceled because of strong winds and waves, which led venture organizers to propose a dive to the Continental Shelf.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe crew closes the hatch, from the outside, with 17 bolts. There\u2019s no other way out,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHere\u2019s how the launch is supposed to go: The sub is attached to a huge floating platform. Motorboats drag it down the big orange ramp into the sea.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe platform submerges to about 30 feet, where the water is much calmer than on the surface\u2026 Divers detach the sub from the platform \u2026 and away you go!\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>But reality interfered.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur dive in the OceanGate submersible had made it down only 37 feet when [floats came off the platform],\u201d Pogue said.<\/p>\n<p>That led to his dive being scrubbed.<\/p>\n<p>Passenger Renata Rojas had been philosophical about the mishap.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEvery expedition has its challenges, all of them. I have not been in one expedition where things haven\u2019t had to be adjusted, adapted, changed or canceled at the end of the day. You\u2019re at the mercy of the weather,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>On his sixth day at sea, the weather cleared. \u201cThe dive was a go!\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>But the good news got <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/ap-sub-takes-tourists-view-titanic-goes-missing-coast-guard-rescue-efforts-underway\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">murky<\/a>, as Pogue explained<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere\u2019s no GPS underwater, so the surface ship is supposed to guide the sub to the shipwreck by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/pakistan-sentences-pastor-serving-longest-ever-prison-sentence-for-blasphemy-to-death\/\" title=\"Pakistan Sentences Pastor Serving Longest-Ever Prison Sentence for 'Blasphemy' to Death\">sending text messages<\/a>,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>But on this dive, communications somehow broke down. The sub never found the wreck.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe were lost,\u201d submersible passenger Shrenik Baldota said. \u201cWe were lost for two-and<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/michigan-parents-raise-money-to-challenge-school-board-decision-not-to-reopen-schools-this-year\/\" title=\"Michigan Parents Raise Money To Challenge School Board Decision Not To Reopen Schools This Year\">-a-half hours<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>On the final day out at sea, Pogue was able to film shots of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/ap-groundbreaking-scan-records-titanic-wreck-incredible-detail-including-small-inscription-propeller\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">fabled wreck<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Stockton Rush, CEO of OceanGate Expeditions, the company that owns the submersible, was on the missing vessel, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcnews.com\/news\/world\/live-blog\/titanic-missing-submersible-live-updates-rcna90103\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">NBC<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEvery time I go deeper, the experience gets cooler and cooler,\u201d Rush said in an interview with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.smithsonianmag.com\/innovation\/worlds-first-deep-diving-submarine-plans-tourists-see-titanic-180972179\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Smithsonian<\/a>. \u201cAt the very bottom of the ocean, there must be a bunch of octopuses playing chess, wondering why it\u2019s taken us so long to get there.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In that interview, he offered his opinion on U.S. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/bidens-push-for-electric-vehicles-will-benefit-china-house-republicans\/\" title=\"Biden\u2019s Push for Electric Vehicles Will Benefit China: House Republicans\">government safety regulations<\/a> for tourist submersibles.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere hasn\u2019t been an injury in the commercial sub industry in over 35 years. It\u2019s obscenely safe, because they have all these regulations.
