Imirowicz was convicted of unlawfully using <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/washington-d-c-mayor-extends-emergency-declaration-for-15-days\/\" title=\"Washington, D.C. mayor extends emergency declaration for 15 days\">chemical irritants<\/a>, causing her father\u2019s death, Konrad Imirowicz. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/5rYYdxGAbS\">pic.twitter.com\/5rYYdxGAbS<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Law&#038;Crime Network (@LawCrimeNetwork) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/LawCrimeNetwork\/status\/1669426390696067072?\">June 15, 2023<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<h3>Tragic Case of Family Violence<\/h3>\n<p>Imirowicz\u2019s charges stem from an October 2021 incident in which she threw a dangerous mix of lye and water on her 64-year-old father, Konrad Imirowicz.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tn.gov\/health\/cedep\/environmental\/environmental-health-topics\/eht\/sodium-hydroxide.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">corrosive substance<\/a> can inflict serious chemical burns on human skin.<\/p>\n<p>Megan Joyce Imirowicz attacked her father when he told her he was too drunk to drive her to a hair care appointment before her 18th birthday party, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/people.com\/teen-faces-life-prison-killing-dad-chemical-drain-cleaner-7547691\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">People<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Konrad Imirowicz\u2019s son, Austin, testified that she sought access to her injured father\u2019s bank account the same night he was attacked with the chemical, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/us\/michigan-teen-convicted-killing-father-drain-cleaner-hair-salon-appointment\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Fox News<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>He said the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/murdaugh-jurors-state-1-piece-evidence-sealed-deal-convinced-alex-guilty\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">defendant<\/a> wanted to use it to pay for a hotel room birthday party with her friends.<\/p>\n<p>The victim survived for five months after the chemical attack but ultimately succumbed to his injuries in March 2022 \u2014 days after being removed from life support.<\/p>\n<p>Austin Imirowicz recounted his father\u2019s double amputations in his testimony during the four-day trial.<\/p>\n<p>Oakland County Prosecutor Karen D.
