Despite his claim on an alleged audio tape, he now <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/trump-on-allegedly-stating-that-he-showed-classified-doc-to-others-there-was-no-document\/\" title=\"Trump denies ever showing a classified document to others.\">denies showing classified documents<\/a> to individuals without security clearances.<\/p>\n<p>Trump, who is currently <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/biden-not-involved-in-trump-indictment-says-white-house\/\" title=\"White House: Biden not implicated in Trump indictment.\">facing 37 felony charges<\/a> in the federal investigation into his handling of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/pentagon-staffer-sentenced-for-passing-information-to-hezbollah\/\" title=\"Pentagon Staffer Sentenced for Passing Information to Hezbollah\">classified national defense information<\/a>, stands accused of revealing classified material to a writer during an interview.<\/p>\n<p>The indictment provides the following details:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><em>In July 2021, at Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, New Jersey (\u201cThe Bedminster Club\u201d), during an audio-recorded meeting with a writer, a publisher, and two members of his staff, none of whom possessed a security clearance, [Trump] showed and described a \u201cplan of attack\u201d that [Trump] said was prepared for him by the Department of Defense and a senior military official. [Trump] told the individuals that the plan was \u201chighly confidential\u201d and \u201csecret.\u201d [Trump] also said, \u201cas president I could have declassified it,\u201d and, \u201cNow I can\u2019t, you know, but this is still a secret.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>During an interview with Fox News anchor Bret Baier, he confronted Trump with this portion of the indictment, which allegedly detailed a plan of attack against Iran. Baier asked if the former president remembered doing that.<\/p>\n<p>Trump responded, \u201cIt wasn\u2019t a document. I had lots of paper. I had copies of newspaper articles. I had copies of magazines.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Baier pressed further, quoting the recording where Trump referred to the document as &#8220;secret&#8221; and claimed he could have declassified it while he was president. The indictment also cited testimony from people in the room who confirmed that Trump showed it to them.<\/p>\n<p><b data-stringify-type=\"bold\"><\/b><\/p>\n<p>Trump vehemently denied these statements, insisting that it was &#8220;just the opposite.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Baier challenged him, saying, &#8220;You say on tape you can&#8217;t declassify. So why have it?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Trump clarified, &#8220;When I said that, I couldn&#8217;t declassify it now because I wasn&#8217;t president, I never made any bones about that. When I&#8217;m not president, I can&#8217;t declassify.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>When Baier brought up the recording again, Trump dismissed it, saying, &#8220;No, no.
