Jim Jordan Investigates Allegations of IRS Abusing Civil Liberties<\/h2>\n<p>Republican Rep. Jim Jordan of Ohio, who chairs the House Judiciary Committee, is currently investigating a concerning allegation involving the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). In a letter he sent to the IRS, Jordan describes the tactics used by one agent as &#8220;bizarre&#8221; and raises serious concerns about the potential abuse of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/quebec-is-now-under-the-equivalent-of-covid-martial-law-no-one-is-allowed-on-the-streets-after-8pm-till-5am\/\" title=\"Quebec Is Now Under the Equivalent of COVID \u2018Martial Law\u2019 \u2013 No One is Allowed on the Streets after 8pm Till 5am\">civil liberties<\/a>.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<h3>Allegation of Deceptive Tactics<\/h3>\n<p>The incident in question took place on April 25 in Marion, Ohio. According to the letter, an IRS agent, using the name Bill Haus, visited an Ohio taxpayer&#8217;s home under false pretenses. The agent claimed to be there to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/desantis-important-that-osha-mandate-not-be-allowed-to-stand-massive-expansion-of-federal-power\/\" title=\"DeSantis: \u2018Important\u2019 That \u2018OSHA Mandate Not Be Allowed To Stand,\u2019 \u2018Massive Expansion Of Federal Power\u2019\">discuss issues related<\/a> to an estate for which the taxpayer was the fiduciary. However, it was later revealed that the true purpose of the visit was to address delinquent tax filings.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The homeowner, suspicious of the agent&#8217;s intentions, contacted her attorney who instructed the agent to leave. In a disturbing turn of events, the agent responded aggressively, asserting his authority as an IRS agent and claiming he had the right to enter anyone&#8217;s house at any time. The agent even threatened to freeze the homeowner&#8217;s assets and put a lien on her house if she did not comply with his demands.<\/p>\n<p>After the incident was reported to the police, it was discovered that the agent had used a fake name. The police intervened, warning the agent not to visit the homeowner again. In response, the agent filed a complaint against the police.<\/p>\n<p>Following contradictory information from the IRS regarding the alleged debt, the woman was eventually informed that she owed nothing, and her case was closed on May 30.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<h3>Concerns and Demands<\/h3>\n<p>Rep. Jim Jordan expressed deep concern over the behavior of the IRS agent towards an American taxpayer. The use of an alias, deceptive tactics to gain entry into the taxpayer&#8217;s home, and the filing of a complaint against a police officer investigating the matter are all highly troubling.<\/p>\n<p>Jordan demanded that all documents and communication related to the visit and the complaint against the police be provided.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>This is not the first time Rep. Jordan has raised concerns about the IRS&#8217;s actions.
