Version: 4.0.47--><h2>Parents Beware: Families Find Dangerous Weapons in McDonald&#8217;s Happy Meals<\/h2>\n<p>McDonald\u2019s Happy Meals are famous for having a surprise inside, but for two Michigan families recently, the surprise was not of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/michael-barone-ukraine-shows-we-live-in-a-nationalist-world\/\" title=\"Michael Barone: Ukraine Shows We Live in a Nationalist World\">good variety<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Kayla Almashy told <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wxyz.com\/news\/2-metro-detroit-families-report-finding-box-cutters-in-their-kids-happy-meals\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">WXYZ-TV<\/a> she bought her daughter a Happy Meal in May at an outlet in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/former-detroit-lions-player-dies-unexpectedly-25-team-announces\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Detroit<\/a> suburb of Brighton.<\/p>\n<p>As has become their usual routine, her daughter opened the food container and soon asked, \u201cMama, will you open my toy?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>But Almashy was horrified at what her daughter handed her.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cWhen I grabbed it, it was a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/fifth-9-11-plane-investigated-terrorist-target-suspicious-alarming-activities\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">box cutter<\/a>,\u201d said Almashy.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>To <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/5-financial-bubbles-that-made-gamestop-look-like-nothing\/\" title=\"5 Financial \u2018Bubbles\u2019 That Made Gamestop Look Like Nothing\">make matters worse<\/a>, another mom reported the same thing happening with her child on June 11.<\/p>\n<p>Dawn Paret told WXYZ her daughter discovered a box cutter in her <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/police-officer-responds-emergency-age-5-boy-calls-911-order-happy-meal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Happy Meal<\/a> that day when her husband stopped with the kids to buy food at a McDonald\u2019s in Warren, another Detroit suburb.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cShe opened up the box looking for the toy and he was getting the 2-year-old set up,\u201d Paret said. \u201cAnd she turned around, looked at him and held that out and said, \u2018dad, what is this?&#8217;\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Neither family reported injuries, but both were extremely frightened by the experience.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cAnything could have happened,\u201d Paret told the TV station. \u201cAnd that\u2019s what\u2019s scary.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>They reported the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/5-disturbing-findings-from-planned-parenthoods-annual-report\/\" title=\"5 Disturbing Findings from Planned Parenthood\u2019s Annual Report\">disturbing find<\/a> to restaurant management.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cThey basically just said that it\u2019s they have a catchall box that\u2019s a Happy Meal box and someone must have just accidentally grabbed it,\u201d said Paret.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Almashy said all she got was the offer of a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/parents-beware-families-find-dangerous-weapons-in-mcdonalds-happy-meals\/\" title=\"Warning: McDonald's Happy Meals Contain Hazardous Weapons\">free dessert item<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>She ended up posting a warning to other parents on social media.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Almashy noted: \u201cI brought it to Facebook, not to, like, bash McDonald\u2019s, but it was to bring other parents, you know, to be more aware, to check their kids\u2019 meals, because I didn\u2019t.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<div class=\"firefly-embed\">\n<\/div>\n<p>The incident prompted Paret to contact police.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cI understand accidents happen,\u201d she said. \u201cIt\u2019s just \u2026 I need to know \u2026 how this happened exactly.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI understand everyone makes mistakes. Of course, we\u2019re all human. But I just want to know how and why that happened.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The news outlet contacted the restaurants, which both referred them to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/ap-mcdonalds-found-liable-hot-chicken-mcnugget-fell-happy-meal-burned-girl\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">McDonald\u2019s<\/a> corporate office, which provided a statement saying, \u201cThe safety of customers and employees is our top priority, and we take these claims seriously. We have been in touch with the customers involved and are continuing to investigate.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Happy Meals are special meals marketed to kids with colorful packaging that contains food items and a special toy.
