However, according to the Post, which cited a source it did not name, Archer \u201cseems receptive to speaking with committee staff about what he knows.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are in contact with his attorney to schedule it for another date,\u201d the Post quoted a committee aide it did not name as saying.<\/p>\n<p>The letter to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/trump-announces-plan-take-joe-entire-biden-crime-family-upon-regaining-white-house\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Archer\u2019s lawyer<\/a> said it is \u201cinvestigating foreign nationals\u2019 attempts to target and coerce high-ranking U.S. officials\u2019 family members by providing money or other benefits in exchange for certain actions,\u201d adding, \u201cThe Committee has identified Mr. Archer as possessing information relevant to its investigation and seeks your client\u2019s testimony regarding these and other related topics.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBoth information that the Committee has reviewed and public reporting indicates that Mr. Archer played a significant role in the Biden family\u2019s business deals abroad, including but not limited to China, Russia, and Ukraine,\u201d the letter said. \u201cAdditionally, while undertaking these ventures with the Biden family, your client met with then-Vice President Biden on multiple occasions, including in the White House. Mr. Archer\u2019s testimony is critical to the Committee\u2019s investigation.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMr. Archer was Hunter Biden\u2019s business partner in a number of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/comer-grassley-blast-fbi-for-ignoring-congressional-subpoena\/\" title=\"Comer, Grassley Blast FBI for Ignoring Congressional Subpoena\">transactions involving foreign nationals<\/a> and foreign companies. Mr. Archer is associated with corporate entities that the Committee has identified and the Biden family\u2019s role in each of them.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFurthermore, he has significant information regarding the purpose of these companies and knowledge of relevant documents related to the Committee\u2019s investigation.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In 2022,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/former-hunter-biden-business-partner-sentenced-prison\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Archer<\/a> was sentenced by Manhattan Judge Ronnie Abrams to one year and one day in prison, according to the <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2022\/02\/28\/devon-archer-sentenced-for-role-in-hunter-biden-fraud-scheme\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">New York Post<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Archer was convicted of defrauding the Wakpamni Lake Community Corporation, a Native American tribal group, and other investors out of several million dollars, the Justice Department announced in a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.justice.gov\/usao-sdny\/pr\/devon-archer-sentenced-year-and-day-prison-fraudulent-issuance-and-sale-more-60-million\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">news release<\/a>. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/burisma-exec-17-items-insurance-policy-joe-hunter-biden-senator-grassley\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Hunter Biden<\/a>\u00a0was not charged in connection with the scheme.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">\u2018Why would Devon Archer \u201cflip\u201d on Joe and Hunter Biden\u2026\u2019 <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/ShauHQOb5h\">pic.twitter.com\/ShauHQOb5h<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Just Human (@realjusthuman) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/realjusthuman\/status\/1669767056189784073?\">June 16, 2023<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Republican Rep. James Comer of Kentucky, who chairs the House Oversight Committee, recently wrote that information contained in a much-publicized FD-1023 form that was filed with the FBI should not be viewed in isolation.
