The ACLU promptly challenged Indiana&#8217;s law after it was signed by Republican Governor Eric Holcomb, following a pattern of similar lawsuits filed in other states.<\/p>\n<p>The ACLU of Indiana&#8217;s legal director, Ken Faulk, celebrated the preliminary injunction as a victory for trans youth and their families. Faulk stated, &#8220;We won&#8217;t rest until this unconstitutional law is struck down for good.&#8221;<\/p>\n<h3>Aggressive Court Strategy by Supporters of Transgender Procedures on Children<\/h3>\n<p>Advocates for transgender procedures on children have pursued an aggressive court strategy, resulting in the blocking of state laws in several states, including Alabama, Arkansas, and Florida.<\/p>\n<p>In Florida, Judge Robert Hinkle issued a ruling against the state&#8217;s ban on puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones, using language that some consider activist. In his 44-page ruling, he stated, &#8220;The elephant in the room should be noted at the outset. Gender identity is real.
