These findings were revealed in a national poll conducted by the Marist Institute for Public Opinion.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>&#8220;As former President Trump deals with his <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/unmasked-texas-dems-defy-biden\/\" title=\"Unmasked Texas Dems Defy Biden\">latest legal woes<\/a>, Republicans are mostly standing with him, while Democrats are calling for him to exit the 2024 campaign,&#8221; said Marist Director Lee Miringoff in a statement.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Time will tell if this pattern holds, but for now, Republicans are grounded on where they stand on Trump regardless of these unfolding events,&#8221; he added.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The poll also highlighted that over three-quarters of Republicans and Republican-leaning independents, a significant 76%, hold a favorable opinion of Trump. This number has increased from 68% in February, indicating a growing support base for the former president.<\/p>\n<p>The survey, conducted from June 12-14, questioned 1,327 adults, with 1,212 of them being registered voters. The overall margin of error for the poll is 3.5 percentage points, while it is 3.6% for registered voters. Out of the respondents, 467 identified as Republicans or Republican-leaning voters.<\/p>\n<p>Interestingly, 73% of those surveyed believe that Trump did something wrong, but only half of them believe he committed a crime. Another 23% claim that his actions were unethical but not illegal. These charges include 31 counts for the willful retention of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/joe-biden-rips-trump-for-doing-the-same-thing-the-obama-administration-did\/\" title=\"Joe Biden Rips Trump For Doing The Same Thing The Obama Administration Did\">national defense information<\/a>, which is a violation of the Espionage Act.
