One would think that if the leftists were right, the former president and leading GOP contender in the 2024 presidential race would slink home with his <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/americans-for-trump-poll-boost-and-donations-pour-in-immediately-after-arraignment\/\" title=\"Support for Trump surges after arraignment: Polls and donations skyrocket!\">head hanging low amid<\/a> a shower of mocking and shaming.<\/p>\n<p>But that wasn\u2019t the case. Indeed, his campaign said it was flooded with $6.6 million in donations in the hours after his court appearance in Miami, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/trump-raises-roughly-2-million-bedminster-fundraiser-following-arraignment\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Fox News<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/trump-rakes-4-million-24-hours-indictment-came-libs-terrified\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">donations<\/a> weren\u2019t all from deep-pocketed donors, either. The Trump campaign said $4.5 million came from small donors through its digital contributions portal.<\/p>\n<p>But the big donors didn\u2019t shun him. After his arraignment, the former president flew to his golf club in Bedminster, New Jersey, and raked in $2.1 million from those in attendance.<\/p>\n<p>As <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/2023\/06\/14\/trump-2-million-arraignment-fundraiser-00101931\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Politico<\/a> noted Wednesday, \u201cTrump has still been able to rely on deep pocketed supporters to fill his campaign coffers even amid his legal troubles.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>That wasn\u2019t the first fundraising windfall he has seen following a court appearance.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTrump appears to be getting another fundraising bump after the latest indictment. Trump\u2019s campaign said it raised $4 million in the first 24 hours \u2014 and $15.4 million in the two weeks \u2014 after he was indicted by Manhattan\u2019s district attorney in late March,\u201d Fox News reported.<\/p>\n<p>The fundraising is not the only metric telling us that Trump\u2019s support remains strong in spite of the indictments.<\/p>\n<h3>Do you believe the recent Trump indictment was politically motivated?<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Yes<\/li>\n<li>No<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>According to a recent CBS News\/YouGov poll, Trump\u2019s supporters have <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/cbs-poll-backfires-majority-republicans-agree-troubling-part-trump-indictment\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">rallied to his side<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The pollsters interviewed 2,480 U.S. adults last week and recontacted 1,798 of the respondents June 9-10 after the former president\u2019s indictment was unsealed.<\/p>\n<p>A whopping 76 percent of likely GOP primary voters said they were more concerned the charges are politically motivated than they are about any <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/biden-considering-not-giving-trump-intelligence-briefings\/\" title=\"Biden Considering Not Giving Trump Intelligence Briefings\">national security risk posed<\/a> by Trump\u2019s handling of classified material.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, only 38 percent of that group said Trump could have <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/terror-suspects-caught-crossing-mexico-border\/\" title=\"Terror Suspects Caught Crossing Mexico Border\">endangered national security<\/a> by storing classified documents at his Mar-a-Lago home.<\/p>\n<p>Also, 61 percent of likely Republican voters said the indictment did not alter their intention to vote for the former president, and 14 percent even said their view of Trump changed for the better.<\/p>\n<p>On top of that, 80 percent said he should still be eligible to be president again if he\u2019s convicted.<\/p>\n<p>Only 20 percent said a conviction should disqualify him from a return to the White House.<\/p>\n<p>All this taken together shows that Republicans largely view the indictment of Trump as a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/cbs-poll-backfires-majority-republicans-agree-troubling-part-trump-indictment\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">political attack<\/a> launched by Democrats, not a matter of law \u2014 and they have lost no measure of support for the former president.<\/p>\n<p>The post <a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/americans-trump-poll-boost-donations-pour-immediately-arraignment\/\">Americans for Trump!
