Nicole Malliotakis of New York. &#8220;They may have changed the makeup of a court in order to affect an outcome. I hope that&#8217;s not the case.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Republican Rep. Glenn Grothman of Wisconsin also expressed his concerns, stating, &#8220;I think it would be odd to change the maps in Wisconsin or anywhere every time you have a new <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/9-key-points-from-trump-campaign-press-conference-on-challenges-to-election-results\/\" title=\"9 Key Points from Trump Campaign Press Conference on Challenges to Election Results\">state supreme court<\/a>, right? This sets a really weird precedent in which you could have five different maps in a 10-year period, depending upon who won or lost a state Supreme Court race.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The Politico report highlighted the Democrats&#8217; true motives, stating, &#8220;Democrats often employ high-minded rhetoric about democracy in these cases, but they are keenly aware that even a small advantage could determine who controls the chamber in 2025.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The main issue in both states is the Democrats&#8217; insistence on using the courts to overturn the results of the recent redistricting processes.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>&#8220;The only way you can dig out of a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/maryland-dems-keep-redistricting-process-hidden-from-public\/\" title=\"Maryland Dems Keep Redistricting Process Hidden From Public\">gerrymandered state<\/a> is by appealing to the courts,&#8221; said Democratic Rep. Marc Pocan of Wisconsin.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Both parties have a questionable history when it comes to gerrymandering.<\/p>\n<p>However, the idea of using the courts to re-draw districts before the next U.S. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/gop-rep-bad-2020-census-deprived-tx-least-1-electoral-vote-gave-gop-shaft-9-states\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">census<\/a> is appalling for several reasons.<\/p>\n<p>First, it is a blatant power grab disguised as a commitment to democracy.<\/p>\n<p>Second, and more importantly, it undermines self-government. The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/corrupt-and-pathetic-democrats-attempting-to-use-redos-to-swipe-house-majority\/\" title=\"'Democrats' Desperate 'Redos' to Steal House Majority: Corrupt and Pathetic'\">entire redistricting process reflects poorly<\/a> on our elected representatives.<\/p>\n<p>Take New York, for example.
