Pramila Jayapal and Tony Cardenas, as well as Sen. Mazie Hirono, would eliminate the five<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/green-groups-thwarting-geothermal-solutions-to-energy-problems\/\" title=\"Green Groups Thwarting Geothermal Solutions to Energy Problems\">-year wait<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/dems-push-bill-to-give-immigrants-free-health-insurance-food-stamps-immediately-upon-entering-country\/\" title=\"Dems propose bill for immediate health insurance, food stamps for immigrants upon arrival.\">award taxpayer-funded benefits<\/a> to immigrants as soon as they receive immigrant status.<\/p>\n<p>If that sounds unsustainable, that\u2019s because it is.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Democrat bill gives immigrants instant access to federal benefits, ends \u2018xenophobic\u2019 5-year wait <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/Y1tCpEpPUB\">https:\/\/t.co\/Y1tCpEpPUB<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Fox News (@FoxNews) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/FoxNews\/status\/1669484961286463489?\">June 15, 2023<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<h3>Removing Barriers to Basic Services<\/h3>\n<p>In a statement,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/jayapal-gets-9-11-victim-counts-wrong-second-year-row-adds-19-people-sure-infuriate-americans\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Jayapal\u00a0<\/a>referred to the stipulations in the current legislation, which was passed by Congress in 1996 and signed into law by card-carrying Democrat and then-President Bill Clinton, as \u201ccruel, xenophobic, and unreasonable barriers to health care, nutrition assistance, and other life-changing public benefits.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Jayapal added: \u201cImmigrants and families should not have to wait to access these basic services.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In assuredly unrelated news, less than two months ago, Jayapal, along with Sen. Cory Booker and Rep. The bill should be renamed, Just open damn border up! <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/bordercrisis?src=hash&#038;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#bordercrisis<\/a>\u2026 <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/BBtwwlU7J4\">pic.twitter.com\/BBtwwlU7J4<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 The Patriot Sentinel (@PatriotSent) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/PatriotSent\/status\/1651716153842999297?\">April 27, 2023<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<h3>Concerns and Statistics<\/h3>\n<p>And on Tuesday, the Biden administration promised to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/immigration-temporary-protected-status-biden-border-e4656d334cef29ed7957a9faa531daca\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">extend the legal status<\/a>\u00a0of more than 300,000 people from El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, and Nepal, reversing a Trump-era decision, but some Democrats complained that it \u201cdid not go far enough.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>A 2021 study by <a href=\"https:\/\/cis.org\/Camarota\/Welfare-Use-Immigrants-and-NativeBorn-Households\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Center for Immigration Studies<\/a> showed that in 2018, 49 percent of households headed by immigrants used at least one major <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/adam-kinzinger-insults-trump-jr-calling-zelenskyy-welfare-queen-quickly-reminded-inconvenient-fact\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">welfare\u00a0<\/a>program, compared to 32 percent of households headed by native-born Americans.<\/p>\n<p>Among households headed by a non-citizen who had lived in the United States for ten years or less, 40 percent used at least one major program, and for those in the country for more than ten years, it was 62 percent.<\/p>\n<p>Although Americans have always been willing to share the pie, it\u2019s not a magic or endless pie, and it was made for our children to enjoy.<\/p>\n<p>But the growing majority of the slices now seem to be given out not only to people who haven\u2019t contributed toward the ingredients but also to millions of people who just crashed the party for the free pie.<\/p>\n<p>Maybe \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/watch-purple-haired-dem-thanks-buttigieg-development-female-dummies-equity\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">equity<\/a>\u201d should start with how much individuals put into the system instead of just what they can take out.<\/p>\n<p>Whether these Democrat lawmakers just live in a Utopian fantasy or whether they are deliberately trying to destroy the American way of life is a matter of personal opinion.<\/p>\n<p>Either way, it\u2019s not a glowing assessment of Democrat leadership and where their priorities are.<\/p>\n<p>The great economist Milton Friedman\u2019s much-quoted statement has never been more relevant than right now \u2013\u201cYou cannot simultaneously have <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/are-swedish-voters-finally-waking-up-to-europes-immigration-fiasco\/\" title=\"Are Swedish Voters Finally Waking Up To Europe\u2019s Immigration Fiasco?\">free immigration<\/a> and a welfare state.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The post <a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/dems-push-bill-give-immigrants-free-health-insurance-food-stamps-immediately-upon-entering-country\/\">Dems Push Bill to Give Immigrants Free Health Insurance, Food Stamps Immediately Upon Entering Country<\/a> appeared first on <a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\">The Western Journal<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On Thursday, Democrats proposed a bill to remove the five-year waiting period for immigrants to access federal benefits.
