This deadline emphasizes the urgency of the situation.<\/p>\n<p>Attorneys in the case have until Tuesday to comply with the order. As of Thursday evening, Trump&#8217;s attorneys Todd Blanche and Chris Kise have already done so, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/rachel-maddow-says-quiet-part-loud-trumps-indictment\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reports<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>This development comes just days after Trump pleaded not guilty to 37 counts related to the alleged mishandling of classified documents. Special counsel Jack Smith, appointed to investigate the former president&#8217;s actions, brought the charges against Trump last week.<\/p>\n<p>Smith, whose <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/gop-candidates-asked-pardon-trump-stand\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">wife<\/a> directed a documentary about former first lady Michelle Obama and donated to Joe Biden&#8217;s 2020 presidential campaign, was appointed by Attorney General <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/matt-gaetz-sends-scathing-letter-merrick-garland-list-3-demands-ag-weeks-comply\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Merrick Garland<\/a> last year.<\/p>\n<p>The investigation into Trump&#8217;s alleged mishandling of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/national-archives-admits-every-administration-since-reagan-has-mishandled-classified-documents\/\" title=\"National Archives: All Administrations Since Reagan Mishandled Classified Docs.\">classified documents began<\/a> after the FBI raided his Mar-a-Lago property in August 2022. Ten months later, the DOJ charged him with multiple felonies, including violations of the Espionage Act.<\/p>\n<p>Trump has vehemently denied the charges and remains determined to fight them. Several of his rivals in the 2024 Republican primary race <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/gop-candidates-asked-pardon-trump-stand\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">have pledged<\/a> to pardon him if they win the presidency.<\/p>\n<p>Judge Cannon&#8217;s involvement in the case has not been without controversy.
