min-height: 50px;  text-align: center;\">  \t<script>  \t\tgoogletag.cmd.push(function() { googletag.display('div-gpt-ad-1663871513696-art-1'); });  \t<\/script>  <\/div>\n<div class=\"ad-slot__ad-label\">Advertisement<\/div>\n<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re pleased with the UK Competition and Markets Authority\u2019s decision and are committed to supporting regulatory bodies in their work,\u201d a spokesperson for Amazon said.  <\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe look forward to similar decisions from other regulators soon.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>In April, the CMA had launched a \u201cPhase 1\u201d probe into the deal which was announced in August last year as Amazon sought to expand its stable of smart-home devices, which include the Alexa voice assistant, smart thermostats, security devices, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/uk-clears-amazons-1-7-billion-deal-for-roomba-maker-irobot\/\" title=\"UK approves Amazon's .7B acquisition of iRobot, maker of Roomba.\">wall mounted smart displays<\/a> and a canine-like robot called Astro.<\/p>\n<p>Regulators on both sides of the Atlantic are wary of Big Tech acquiring smaller rivals, especially those with access to big volumes of user data, and tend to demand remedies in return for approving such deals.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt marks a significant milestone, and both companies are continuing to work cooperatively with other relevant regulators in their review of the merger,\u201d iRobot Chief Executive Colin Angle said in a statement.<\/p>\n<p>The news sent shares in U.S-listed iRobot up 12% in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/exclusive-u-s-regulators-to-vet-alibaba-jd-com-other-chinese-firms-audits-sources\/\" title=\"Exclusive-U.S. regulators to vet Alibaba, JD.com, other Chinese firms\u2019 audits -sources\">pre-market trade<\/a>, while Amazon\u2019s stock was marginally down.    <\/p>\n<p>EU antitrust regulators will decide by July 6 whether to clear the deal, while the U.S. Federal Trade Commission is also examining the acquisition. <\/p>\n<p> (Reporting by Eva Mathews in Bengaluru;
