The offer was a potentially expedited judicial appointment in exchange for his cooperation against former President Donald Trump.<\/p>\n<p>Woodward is currently representing Trump\u2019s co-defendant, Walt Nauta, in a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/lawyer-for-trumps-co-defendant-says-biden-doj-offered-him-quid-pro-quo\/\" title=\"Trump's co-defendant's lawyer claims Biden's DOJ offered a quid pro quo.\">federal case involving classified documents<\/a>. In a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/doj-investigating-spacexs-hiring-practices-after-non-u-s-citizen-alleges-discrimination\/\" title=\"DOJ Investigating SpaceX\u2019s Hiring Practices After Non-U.S. Citizen Alleges Discrimination\">court filing<\/a>, Woodward revealed that Jay Bratt, the head of the Counterintelligence Section of DOJ\u2019s National Security Division, had hinted that Woodward&#8217;s application for a DC Superior Court judgeship would be viewed more favorably if he and his client cooperated against Trump.<\/p>\n<p>The allegation, which was filed under seal with Judge James Boasberg, the chief U.S. Judge in Washington, reportedly took place in November of 2022. Truly wild. It could undermine the entire case against both Trump and Nauta. It could end careers at DOJ if fairly investigated,\u201d Scharf said, adding some context about Woodward\u2019s professional history and reputation and arguing that he didn\u2019t seem likely to simply invent such an accusation.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is not some fly by night TV lawyer.
