Kennedy Jr., best known as an anti-vaccine activist and a member of the Democratic royal family.<\/p>\n<p>And according to a poll released Wednesday, Kennedy is also scoring higher approval ratings than any other name in the presidential field.<\/p>\n<p>In <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.cdn.yougov.com\/rx1plz8umr\/econtoplines.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Economist\/YouGov poll<\/a>, the son of former Sen. Robert F. Kennedy had a combined favorability rating of 49 percent, higher than both Biden (45 percent) and the leading GOP contender, former President Donald Trump (43 percent).<\/p>\n<p>For Trump, of course, Kennedy is no competition \u2014 at least not on the immediate horizon. The former president has Republican rivals to worry about. But for Biden, a man who struggled to win his party\u2019s nomination fight in 2020, it could be a different story.<\/p>\n<p>The problem for the president stems from the February decision by the Democratic National Committee \u2014 supported by Biden \u2014 to make South Carolina the first state on the Democratic primary calendar, as reported at the time by <a href=\"https:\/\/abcnews.go.com\/US\/democrats-approve-new-primary-calendar-2024\/story?id=96894345\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ABC News<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The move was a sop to the party\u2019s black politicians and activists \u2014 and a repayment for South Carolina\u2019s role in resuscitating the flailing Biden nomination campaign in 2020.<\/p>\n<p>But it also stripped New Hampshire of its <a href=\"https:\/\/sos.nh.gov\/media\/x3mkt4o1\/the-year-nh-became-first-final.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">century-old position<\/a> as the first primary state and Iowa of its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.desmoinesregister.com\/story\/news\/elections\/presidential\/caucus\/2019\/08\/30\/iowa-caucus-a-brief-history-of-why-iowa-caucuses-are-first-election-2020-dnc-virtual-caucus\/2163813001\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">decade-long prominence<\/a> as the first caucus state \u2014 and both states are being defiant.<\/p>\n<p>New Hampshire state law mandates that it be the first state to hold a primary, and its lawmakers took no action to change that this year. Iowa Democrats are likely to hold their caucus in January, according to a May report in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.desmoinesregister.com\/story\/news\/elections\/presidential\/caucus\/2023\/05\/03\/iowa-democrats-plan-to-hold-2024-caucuses-the-same-day-as-republicans\/70175240007\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Des Moines Register<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>That all adds up to the very real possibility that Biden won\u2019t even submit his name to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/democrats-scrambling-realizing-biden-shot-foot-may-cede-first-2024-state-primary\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">be on the ballot<\/a> in either state.<\/p>\n<p>And for Biden and the Democratic Pary, that means an embarrassment and a stunning display of party dissension right at the outset of the 2024 campaign.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s all, of course, thanks to the party\u2019s racial politics. New Hampshire and Iowa are overwhelmingly white, as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.axios.com\/2023\/06\/15\/iowa-new-hampshire-biden-lose-2024-primaries-election\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Axios<\/a> noted Thursday. New Hampshire is about 87 percent white, Iowa 82 percent.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/brutal-anti-biden-ad-obamas-trying-get-taken-off-air-south-carolina\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">South Carolina<\/a>, meanwhile, is majority-white but only about 62 percent \u2014 meaning it has a much larger percentage of black voters. And it was black voters, with the endorsement of Rep. James Clyburn, who gave Biden the primary victory in the Palmetto State in February 2020, as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbs.org\/newshour\/politics\/biden-wins-south-carolina-democratic-primary\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">PBS reported<\/a>, after his losses in New Hampshire, Iowa and Nevada.<\/p>\n<p>If New Hampshire and Iowa persist in holding their elections before South Carolina, they would likely be stripped of their delegates, Axios reported, meaning they would be nothing more than a beauty contest. But that doesn\u2019t mean they wouldn\u2019t have an impact \u2014 highlighting the thralldom of Democrats, and Biden in particular, to the black Democratic vote.<\/p>\n<p>Biden\u2019s captivity to Democratic racial politics is no secret, of course. The United States has a manifestly incompetent vice president in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/elon-musk-torches-kamala-harris-biden-admin-reveals-vps-ridiculous-new-czar-role\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Kamala Harris<\/a> and a manifestly dishonest Supreme Court justice in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/jackson-wont-say-whether-agrees-ginsburg-men-women-physical-differences\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ketanji Brown Jackson<\/a> simply because of the president\u2019s forced pandering to black women.<\/p>\n<p>But those gestures didn\u2019t cost Biden politically \u2014 they strengthened him with his party\u2019s base, even if their craven nature made sane Americans despise him more. His deliberate snubbing of Democratic voters in New Hampshire and Iowa could be a different matter \u2014 considering the momentum RFK Jr.\u2019s likely wins there could give Kennedy\u2019s campaign.<\/p>\n<p>Conservatives and Republicans have no reason to reminisce about the Kennedys. For more than half a century, the family has inflicted its progressive politics on the United States while its own wealth protected it from any of the downsides. The assassinated President John F. Kennedy and his brother, RFK Jr.\u2019s father, are enshrined in popular culture thanks to their early deaths.<\/p>\n<p>(Considering that those deaths were at the hands of a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/newly-released-cia-documents-reveal-lee-harvey-oswalds-suspicious-meeting-just-jfk-assassination\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">communist<\/a> and a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.britannica.com\/biography\/Sirhan-Bishara-Sirhan\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Palestinian terrorist<\/a>, respectively, it might make a sensible person wonder why Democrats haven\u2019t taken a hint about the dangers of those two political pathologies, but Democrats do what Democrats do.)<\/p>\n<p>Ted Kennedy, RFK Jr.\u2019s uncle, never became president, thankfully, but spent decades in the Senate inflicting incalculable damage on the country (not to mention the family of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/powerful-people-tried-to-block-release-of-kennedy-film-chappaquiddick\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mary Jo Kopechne<\/a>, the campaign aide who died about 40 years before Ted, and in considerably less comfortable circumstances).<\/p>\n<p>Among other things, his <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/elder-generation-american-left-decided-attack-rather-persuade\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">character assassination<\/a> of then-Supreme Court nominee Robert Bork in 1988, by itself, helped poison the politics of the country to the point where they are today.<\/p>\n<p>To be clear, RFK Jr. might be making <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/rfk-jr-shames-biden-goes-border-exposes-impact-unfinished-wall\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">some of the right noises<\/a> now, but he likely wouldn\u2019t be much of an improvement on old Uncle Ted \u2014 there aren\u2019t any conservatives slurping clam chowder at the Cape Cod compound.<\/p>\n<p>But for Democrats, the Kennedy name no doubt still holds magic particularly compared with the doddering Joe Biden, who looks <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/explosive-report-doj-received-joe-biden-bribery-allegation-2018-something-awful\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">more corrupt<\/a> every day.<\/p>\n<p>Whoever wins the Republican nomination is going to have plenty of ammunition to use against the president \u2014 the increasingly serious allegations of bribery, the disaster on the nation\u2019s southern border and ruinous inflation fed by Democratic spending, to name just a few.<\/p>\n<p>Democrats and the establishment media would like the country to forget how hard it was for Biden to win his party\u2019s nomination in 2020 (before going on to supposedly win 81 million votes in the general election!).
