An April report by the <em>New York Times<\/em> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2023\/04\/17\/us\/politics\/migrant-child-labor-biden.html?smid=nytcore-ios-share&#038;referringSource=articleShare\">showed<\/a> documents proving the administration was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/susan-rice-to-leave-biden-admin-amid-migrant-child-labor-scandal\/\" title=\"Susan Rice To Leave Biden Admin Amid Migrant Child Labor Scandal\">quickly releasing unaccompanied migrant children<\/a> into the country by the thousands. Many of those children ended up <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/neera-tanden-to-replace-susan-rice-as-bidens-domestic-policy-chief\/\" title=\"Neera Tanden to take over as Biden's domestic policy chief, replacing Susan Rice.\">working grueling jobs<\/a>, often for long hours and in dangerous conditions where they worked with chemicals and industrial equipment.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It&#8217;s a conveyor belt of children being forced through the system, and what&#8217;s the priority of HHS? Just get &#8217;em out as fast as we can,&#8221; Hawley said.<\/p>\n<p>Hawley called out HHS secretary Xavier Becerra, who was <a href=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/biden-administration\/how-bidens-incompetent-health-secretary-caused-a-child-labor-crisis\/\">named<\/a> in the report and allegedly ignored warnings from employees. Five former HHS employees <a href=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/biden-administration\/how-bidens-incompetent-health-secretary-caused-a-child-labor-crisis\/\">said<\/a> they were even pushed out of the agency after they raised concerns about children&#8217;s safety.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Again and again, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/watch-hawley-slams-hhs-over-migrant-child-labor-scandals\/\" title=\"Hawley criticizes HHS for migrant child labor scandals.\">veteran government staffers<\/a> and outside contractors told the Health and Human Services Department, including in reports that reached Secretary Xavier Becerra, that children appeared to be at risk,&#8221; the <em>Times<\/em> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2023\/04\/17\/us\/politics\/migrant-child-labor-biden.html?smid=tw-share\">reported<\/a> in April.<\/p>\n<p>Hawley said the administration&#8217;s refusal to come before the Senate and answer questions about the crisis is &#8220;cowardice.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The <em>Times<\/em> report also implicated former domestic policy adviser Susan Rice. Rice and her team reportedly failed to act, even as administration staffers called for stricter vetting of the sponsors migrant children were placed with to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/biden-faces-backlash-after-crushing-border-wall-developments\/\" title=\"Biden faces backlash after crushing border wall developments\">prevent human trafficking<\/a>. A week after the <em>Times<\/em> report, the White House announced that Rice would step down.<\/p>\n<p>Further reports <a href=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/biden-administration\/serious-disregard-for-these-childrens-welfare-biden-admin-policies-could-place-migrant-kids-in-homes-with-sex-offenders\/\">found<\/a> that children were sent to the homes of unscreened adults, some of whom could have been registered sex offenders or had a history of child neglect.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Biden administration&#8217;s inaction on child labor crisis at the border.
