The victims have been identified, shedding light on the tragedy and where the investigation is heading.<\/p>\n<h3>Who Were the Victims?<\/h3>\n<p>Two university students, Barnaby Webber and Grace Kumar, were walking home when they were fatally stabbed by the suspect, a 31-year-old man who has not yet been named. Webber and Kumar were both avid athletes, playing cricket and hockey, respectively.<\/p>\n<p>Webber&#8217;s family released a statement expressing their devastation at the loss of their son. &#8220;Barnaby Philip John Webber was a beautiful, brilliant, bright young man, with everything in life to look forward to,&#8221; they said.<\/p>\n<p>Kumar played for the England under-18s hockey team and was remembered as a &#8220;popular member of the England U16 and U18 squads.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Another victim, a man in his 50s, was also killed during the rampage, but he has not been named.<\/p>\n<h3>What Do We Know About the Suspect?<\/h3>\n<p>The suspect, believed to be of West African descent, reportedly has a history of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/9-year-old-girl-pepper-sprayed-during-interaction-with-rochester-police\/\" title=\"9-Year-Old Girl Pepper Sprayed During Interaction With Rochester Police\">mental health issues<\/a>. Although counterterrorism police are assisting in the investigation, they are not running it.<\/p>\n<p>Police were able to stop the suspect shortly after he used a stolen van to run into three people at a bus stop.
