Jean Carroll, who has been seeking justice for the sexual abuse she suffered at the hands of Trump in the 1990s. The lawsuit has been amended to allow Carroll to sue for $10 million in damages over remarks Trump made during a May CNN townhall. <\/p>\n<p>U.S. District Judge Lewis Kaplan has ruled in favor of Carroll, despite Trump&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/notorious-serial-killer-the-serpent-to-be-released-from-prison\/\" title=\"Notorious Serial Killer \u2018The Serpent\u2019 To Be Released From Prison\">legal team arguing<\/a> against her new request. The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/six-republican-senators-support-constitutionality-of-trump-impeachment-trial\/\" title=\"Six Republican Senators Support Constitutionality of Trump Impeachment Trial\">team claimed<\/a> that since the jury had concluded Trump never raped her, the defamation case should be dismissed. However, the judge has given the U.S. Department of Justice a month to evaluate whether or not Trump could be substituted as the defendant.
