Three of the victims are in critical condition, according to the city\u2019s interim police chief.<\/p>\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-1663871513696-art-1\" style=\"min-width: 320px; min-height: 50px;  text-align: center;\">\n        <script>\n          googletag.cmd.push(function() { googletag.display('div-gpt-ad-1663871513696-art-1'); });\n        <\/script>\n      <\/div>\n<div class=\"ad-slot__ad-label\">Advertisement<\/div>\n<p>Two suspects have been taken into custody, according to Interim Commissioner Rick Edwards.<\/p>\n<p>The shooting took place in Richmond\u2019s Monroe Park after Huguenot High School\u2019s graduation ceremony was held at the nearby Altria Theater, located on the campus of Virginia Commonwealth University. Three off-duty police officers were guarding the ceremony when they suddenly heard gunshots outside. They quickly sent an alert out on the radio, and other <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/seven-people-shot-at-virginia-high-school-graduation-ceremony-two-taken-into-custody\/\" title=\"7 shot at Virginia high school graduation, 2 arrested.\">officers directing traffic responded<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Authorities found seven victims with gunshot wounds and non-gunshot injuries, including one who was hit by a car in the chaos. Richmond Mayor Levar M. Stoney expressed his frustration at a press conference, saying, \u201cIs nothing sacred any longer?\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\">\n<p>\u201cI don\u2019t have any more words on this,\u201d said Jason Kamrath, superintendent of Richmond Public Schools. \u201cI\u2019m just tired of seeing people get shot, our kids get shot. And I beg of the entire community to stop.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>After about an hour, the police alert page noted that there were no other ongoing threats and that the area was clear.<\/p>\n<p><em>This is a developing story.
