The record makes this clear.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>But Hinkle\u2019s latest move comes after other controversial actions in recent years taken by the judge against DeSantis and conservative members of the Florida legislature.<\/p>\n<h3>Controversial Actions by Judge Hinkle<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>In August 2020, DeSantis suspended liberal Hillsborough County State Attorney Andrew Warren, a George Soros-funded prosecutor, for refusing to uphold certain state laws and undoing police work, which <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/floridas-longstanding-battle-with-its-pro-gender-identity-judge\/\" title=\"Florida's ongoing fight against pro-gender identity judge.\">authorities argued emboldened criminals<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>DeSantis also ousted Warren after the attorney pledged not to prosecute women for violating a recently enacted state law that bans abortions after 15 weeks of pregnancy and would forego criminally charging doctors who perform sex changes on patients in the event Florida lawmakers deemed it illegal.<\/li>\n<li>During a press conference, DeSantis <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/governor-desantis-suspends-liberal-attorney-for-failing-to-enforce-the-law-on-abortion-trans-surgeries-for-minors\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">said<\/a> that he would not allow \u201cthis pathogen of ignoring the law to get a foothold in the state of Florida.\u201d<\/li>\n<li>Nearly four months later, Hinkle <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/states\/florida\/story\/2020\/05\/24\/federal-judge-strikes-down-restrictions-on-florida-felon-voting-1286097\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ruled<\/a> DeSantis violated the Constitution, but upheld Warren\u2019s suspension, saying that the governor made false allegations that the Florida attorney had blanket policies not to prosecute certain kinds of cases.<\/li>\n<li>In the months leading up to the 2020 presidential election, Hinkle dismantled portions of Florida\u2019s felon voting law that the state\u2019s Republican-controlled legislature passed last year that requires people with felony convictions to pay all outstanding court debts to be eligible to vote.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Although former President Donald Trump clinched Florida in the 2020 election by a 3.4-point margin, Hinkle\u2019s efforts did not go unnoticed in the southern Red State.<\/p>\n<p>With Hinkle\u2019s latest move using federal authority to override Florida\u2019s historic legislation that protects children from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/desantis-bans-mutilating-surgical-procedures-on-minors-other-woke-initiatives-not-happening-here\/\" title=\"DeSantis prohibits surgery on minors and rejects woke initiatives.\">harmful leftist initiatives<\/a> such as mutilating surgical procedures, the battle could reach the U.S. Supreme Court in the near future.<\/p>\n<h3>DeSantis\u2019 Response<\/h3>\n<p>Jeremy Redfern, a spokesperson for DeSantis, told <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/world\/us\/us-judge-florida-blocks-enforcement-state-ban-gender-affirming-care-2023-06-06\/?taid=647fb381ab5b670001f7fb4d&#038;utm_campaign=trueAnthem:+Trending+Content&#038;utm_medium=trueAnthem&#038;utm_source=twitter\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Reuters<\/a> via email that the governor\u2019s office \u201cobviously\u201d disagrees with the judge\u2019s ruling.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe will continue fighting against the rogue elements in the medical establishment that push ideology over evidence and protect against mutilating our kids,\u201d Redfern said.<\/p>\n<p><b><a href=\"https:\/\/onelink.to\/dwapp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" aria-describedby=\"sk-tooltip-9096\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/onelink.to\/dwapp&#038;source=gmail&#038;ust=1685885459858000&#038;usg=AOvVaw0AFvCLn4CIt7S8nPLjhrIg\">CLICK HERE TO GET THE DAILYWIRE+ APP<\/a><\/b><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Florida&#8217;s law protecting children from life-damaging medical treatments for gender-affirming care was temporarily blocked by Judge Robert Hinkle.
