(Photo by Scott Eisen\/Getty Images)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>OAN\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.oann.com\/tag\/noah-herring\">Noah Herring<\/a><br \/>3:10 PM \u2013 Tuesday, June 6, 2023<\/p>\n<p>Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has suspended North Miami Beach Mayor, Anthony DeFillipo, almost a week after he was arrested for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/breaking-ag-barr-authorizes-federal-prosecutors-to-pursue-substantial-allegations-of-voting-irregularities-before-2020-election-is-certified\/\" title=\"BREAKING: AG Barr Authorizes Federal Prosecutors to Pursue \"Substantial Allegations\" of Voting Irregularities Before 2020 Election is Certified\">voter fraud<\/a>.<\/p>\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-1663871513696-art-1\" style=\"min-width: 320px; min-height: 50px;  text-align: center;\">\n  <script>googletag.cmd.push(function() { googletag.display('div-gpt-ad-1663871513696-art-1'); });<\/script>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"ad-slot__ad-label\">Advertisement<\/div>\n<p>DeFillipo, 51, was arrested Wednesday for voting in three separate elections in 2022 while living in another location, using an address for a property he sold in 2021.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\">\n<p>According to an order issued by DeSantis (R-Fla.), \u201cAnthony F. DeFillipo II is prohibited from performing any official act, duty, or function of public office; from receiving any pay or allowance; and from being entitled to any of the emoluments or privileges of public office during the period of this suspension, which period shall be from today until a further Executive Order is issued or as otherwise provided by law.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The executive order goes into effect immediately, prohibiting him from performing any official act, duty, or function and from receiving any pay or allowance while suspended.<\/p>\n<p>The Miami-Dade State Attorney\u2019s Office made the announcement last week that DeFillipo had been arrested making him the third mayor of North Miami Beach to be arrested in an 11-year span.<\/p>\n<h3>Cell Phone Data Used to Track DeFillipo\u2019s Driving<\/h3>\n<p>Miami-Dade State Attorney Katherine Fernandez Rundle said that her office used <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/public-radio-reporter-arrested-for-firebombing-police-cars\/\" title=\"Public Radio \u201cReporter\u201d Arrested For Firebombing Police Cars\">cell phone data<\/a> to track DeFillipo\u2019s driving. He was tracked from Davie to North Miami Beach, where he cast ballots to vote in three separate elections in August, October, and November.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\">\n<p>\u201cIt wasn\u2019t as if, \u2018Oops, I forgot once,\u2019 \u201d she said. \u201cThis is three times in rapid succession.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>DeFillipo has denied the allegations surrounding the questions about his residency and has repeatedly insisted that he lives in North Miami Beach. He admitted to purchasing a home in Davie, but insisted that it was for his family to live in due to marital issues he had been having.<\/p>\n<p>Concerns over his residency has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/desantis-suspends-north-miami-beach-mayor-following-arrest\/\" title=\"Mayor of North Miami Beach suspended by DeSantis after arrest.\">caused city commissioners<\/a> to refuse to attend commission meetings in protest of DeFillipo. Last Month, the city commission voted to remove Michael Joseph because of his failure to attend a meeting in more than 120 days. Joseph is reportedly suing, hoping to regain his seat.<\/p>\n<p>All of the three charges that DeFillipo is facing are third degree felonies, each punishable up to five years in prison.<\/p>\n<p>Stay informed!
