However, the Portland Police Bureau (PPB) is trying to calm the community by stating that there is no evidence to support the rumors of a serial killer.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cWhile any premature death is concerning, and we will <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/portland-police-say-no-reason-to-believe-recent-deaths-of-6-women-are-the-work-of-a-serial-killer\/\" title=\"Portland police don't suspect a serial killer in the deaths of 6 women.\">diligently investigate deaths<\/a> that happen in our jurisdiction in collaboration with the Multnomah County and Oregon State Medical Examiner\u2019s offices, PPB has no reason to believe these 6 cases are connected,\u201d the statement continued.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The police are still investigating the deaths of Kristin Smith and Ashley Real, and the cause of death has not been determined in either case. Let&#8217;s trust the authorities to do their job and keep the community safe.<\/p>\n<h3>The Victims<\/h3>\n<p>The victims include Kristin Smith, Ashley Real, Joanna Speaks, Charity Lynn Perry, an unidentified woman found in a tent, and Bridget Leann Webster. Of the six women, only Speaks has been determined to be a homicide so far.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Kristin Smith was reported missing on December 22, 2022, and her remains were found in Multnomah County, Oregon, in February.<\/li>\n<li>Joanna Speaks, 32, was found on an abandoned property in Clark County.<\/li>\n<li>Charity Lynn Perry, 24, was found in a culvert in Multnomah County.<\/li>\n<li>An unidentified woman was found in a tent.<\/li>\n<li>Bridget Leann Webster&#8217;s body was found by the Polk County Sheriff\u2019s Office.<\/li>\n<li>Ashley Real\u2019s remains were found in a wooded area in Clackamas County.
