This is a historic day for the game we all know and love,\u201d said PGA TOUR Commissioner Jay Monahan in a statement. \u201cThis transformational partnership recognizes the immeasurable strength of the PGA TOUR\u2019s history, legacy and pro-competitive model and combines with it the DP World Tour and LIV.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\">\n<p>\u201cGoing forward, fans can be confident that we will, collectively, deliver on the promise we\u2019ve always made \u2013 to promote competition of the best in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/breaking-president-trump-gives-pardons-to-73-individuals-and-commutes-another-70-sentences-steve-bannon-is-included\/\" title=\"BREAKING: President Trump Gives Pardons to 73 Individuals and Commutes Another 70 Sentences \u2013 Steve Bannon Is Included\">professional golf<\/a> and that we are committed to securing and driving the game\u2019s future,\u201d Monahan said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The agreement will merge the PGA Tour and LIV Golf into a \u201cnew, collectively owned, for-profit entity to ensure that all stakeholders benefit from a model that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/pga-tour-and-liv-golf-reach-merger-agreement\/\" title=\"PGA Tour and LIV Golf merge. --- Update\">delivers maximum excitement<\/a> and competition among the game\u2019s best players.\u201d Part of the agreement has the Saudi PIF making a \u201ccapital investment\u201d into the newly established entity. All litigation between the two will also end allowing players that left their respective tours to be reinstated following the 2023 season.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\">\n<p>\u201cWe are pleased to move forward, in step with LIV and PIF\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/pga-tour-merges-with-liv-golf-trump-predicted-it\/\" title=\"PGA Tour and LIV Golf merge, as predicted by Trump.\">world-class investing experience<\/a>, and I applaud PIF Governor Yasir Al-Rumayyan for his vision and collaborative and forward-thinking approach that is not just a solution to the rift in our game, but also a commitment to taking it to new heights,\u201d Monahan said. <\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>During the inaugural season of LIV Golf in 2022, there was immediate pushback from the PGA announcing indefinite suspensions for any members looking to play in LIV. The DP World Tour followed in the PGA\u2019s footsteps, prompting lawsuits. Some players including Rory McIlroy also spoke out publicly against the Saudi-backed tour.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Via. @realDonaldTrump on Truth Social<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/truthsocial.com\/@realDonaldTrump\/posts\/108668385062171695\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Trump\u2019s prediction<\/a> proved to come true as the merger is taking place as the LIV Golf tour is now in its second season.
