As a consumer, it can be difficult to keep all choices &#8220;pure&#8221; and aligned with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wisconsin-parents-on-new-social-studies-curriculum-our-children-cannot-escape-leftist-messaging\/\" title=\"Wisconsin Parents On New Social Studies Curriculum: \u2018Our Children Cannot Escape Leftist Messaging\u2019\">personal values<\/a>. However, recent backlash efforts against companies like Bud Light and Target have shown that boycotts can accomplish much.<\/p>\n<p>When a &#8220;pride&#8221; flag was spotted on the set of &#8220;The Chosen,&#8221; a call for a boycott ensued. While some may argue that it&#8217;s just a movie set and individuals are entitled to their personal beliefs, the show&#8217;s actors made it clear that tolerance is a one-way street. <\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\">\n<p>We\u2019ve made it clear from the beginning we don\u2019t have a religious or <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/knowles-stop-defending-academic-freedom\/\" title=\"KNOWLES: Stop Defending \u2018Academic Freedom\u2019\">political litmus test<\/a> for who can work on our show. I love our cast and crew, especially because even though they all come from different backgrounds and beliefs, they work their butts off for the show and the viewers. The show\u2019s official stance on anything is to be found in the content of the show.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>While the show&#8217;s creator, Dallas Jenkins, initially responded with a hands-off policy regarding <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/i-dont-want-to-boycott-the-chosen-but-the-cast-and-crew-are-forcing-me-to-walk-away\/\" title=\"Cast and Crew of 'The Chosen' Forcing Me to Walk Away, Despite My Desire to Not Boycott.\">contracted workers&#8217; personal lives<\/a>, he later addressed the controversy in a nearly 20-minute video. Jenkins stated that nothing has changed with the show and that it has always followed a hands-off policy regarding its contracted workers&#8217; personal lives. <\/p>\n<p \n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I don&#8217;t usually boycott, but I prefer to support businesses that align with my values.
